| Post subject: | Enough is Enough. [Kampo's,Amia Forest,Underport,Cordor] |
Free peoples of Amia, travelers and merchants alike, for too long have we quietly stood by as the Tyranny of the so-called druids of the woods pushed their weight around mercilessly, bloodthirstily, and unceasingly. Today I and one of my business partners, were attacked in broad daylight within the woods of Amia at the very crossroads! For the 'crime' of putting up a singular, attended at all times, harmless, merchant sign offering to buy mere mythals from common every day travelers passing by. Offers of generous amounts of coin. -but no, a dark druid spoke but for half a moment, no..less even still to tell us to put away our sign or face her wrath. We ask why? What is the harm? -we receive no answer, she takes her bow and shoots our mercantile property into pieces. She prepares for battle... We are forced to defend ourselves, she summons a strand of the weave as a first-strike hoping to killl one of us immediately and fails, heavy damage is done, then she summons a great beast fearsome though it may be. -we were forced to defend our very lives and had to put an end to her madness. Over what you ask? -a sign offering to buy and sell harmless mythals. For too long do they think they may push around the free peoples in an untamed wilds. For too long do they impose their tyrannical rule over all who seek to peacefully pass by and conduct trade, for too long have we done nothing but roll over and take the abuse, one slap in the face after another. No more I say, No more. If we can not trade and travel freely, then we shall use the power of the purse and coin as our first defense. -and if forced beyond that, we shall defend our freedom with our lives. The grove and so called forest protectors allied with them are hereby warned that if they do not agree to allow the peaceful trade and travel of merchants and adventurers alike, harmless signs and all, a bounty of 100,000 crowns will be placed on each of their heads, and for every insignia collected, every death done and tyrant felled shall such a payment shall be made.(regardless of how many times they return //screenshots needed tho). Until there are no more left with the will to 'so-called, protect' their fairytale petting zoo of forcibly restrained wilds and self-proclaimed ruler-ship over such free lands. In the case that my warnings are ignored, and such a bounty is made, my hand then forced, all druids and rangers of the grove shall feel the power of free trade in action. As to prevent unnecessary and needless bloodshed, those not of the grove or personally allied with them are of course exempt from this bounty and have my apologies for any disturbances caused. It is this specific grove that has overstepped its bounds and failed in its tasks. -and they beg to be taught a lesson. -Mortin Agra'tier
An elf of many talents, and a Free Merchant of Amia p.s. You have a tenday to reply and make your intentions known, or the bounty will go into effect immediately thereafter. |

Lying murdering necromancer scum. All I did was destroy the sign when you refused to remove it. I did not attack you but you attacked me for it and killed me with your necromancy. Let it also be known, that he is a known murderer and necromancer who has slain many in the forest and elsewhere along with the slaver Nakasha. He is not tolerated in the forest, least of all as a merchant. The forest is not a merchant hall. I do however not expect those who kill for some coin to bother about the truth. However, this bounty notice shows clearly who he truly is and what his true intentions are for all those not too blind to see or too vile to care. The following note is found in Kampos and Cordor. Also, curiously, the notes left in the Amia Forest are regularly vandalized and destroyed by wildlife such as wolves, bears, ravens and rats. Curious still, a perhaps not so suspicious looking rat or raven at different times seem to be looking for those posting these notices, eying the forest, but especially the central location that is so popular among travelers and loiterers of both pure and foul intent -- including but not limited to the Cave in the South West corner. Real merchants of Amia sell their wears in places like Cordor, Bendir Dale, Kohlingen and other established locations. You, on the other hand, seek to soil the name of reputable Amian traders by claiming to be one when you in fact are a slaver, murderer and foul undead summoner. You are one with the likes of Nakasha, Seaamros and Tyd in what you bring to the people of Amia and the wildlife of Amia Forest. Honest traders of Amia don't trade the life of fellow people as if they're objects to be used for their own devices. You are the one who should be worried. The wilderness has eyes. And those eyes are watching. |

A figure cloaked in darkness, wrapped in the very shadows which surround the signs he comes to write upon, his face masked and concealed as he chuckles softly. Those postings he chooses to scribe upon are the very ones which profess the poster to be an 'undead summoner' or 'necromancer' or other such words. Vile though this one may be, deny you cannot that he has a point most valid.
Pomposity of the most heinous variety is their creed. Oppression and contempt their wretched sin. Long live the free peoples of Amia! Cast down the druids that seek to shackle the forest and those that seek to enjoy it! |

*seems to have turned around as she comes back into sight going over the notice seeming not satisfied without leaving her own notice* Free Peoples of Amia, *she chuckes thinking back then gets serious and writes* Actually I'll remain non-biased in the case. I would have to say the druid put on notice was guilty of not knowing what law she was enforcing. Guards, really, know what laws you are enforcing before you stand for them. That's why the Horsemen carry our lawsigns around with us so you'll know were not making it up as we go. Anyways, if he was not tresspassing or told to leave for doing so and allowed to stay then harrassed when he put up his sign. Then he is in fact right. He should've been told to leave immediately, if that being, trespassing was the law being enforced. Such was not, from what understand, the nature of such. If he was allowed to stay and then arrested or subjecated after putting up the sign then he has all rights to raise complaint of unlawfulness and such should be investigated. In any case he has the right to know, if he be escorted out or arrested, a stated reason for being detained or worse. At least Cordor posts there laws plainly for all to see. Perhaps the forest druids needs to post laws adopted and recognized as official and write them down somewhere. Making copies available to those who wish for one. At any rate there guards need to work on procedure I would say. I do not know either party in the case, I'm merely stating the facts as best I know them. Legion |

"He was told to remove the sign, and refused. The sign was destroyed, and he attacked. Those of you who are not involved in this, stay out of it. We do not come to Cordor or any other city and break or abuse your laws. We do not come there with our animal friends, nor do we spring up trees in the middle of the streets. Many of us may not enjoy civilization much, but we still respect your laws when we are in a city. Many of you, in the other hand, come to the forest and think you can do or act however you please without concequences. This is not true. We also have laws, and if you break them, we will deal with you accordingly. Many of you have been given a second chance, a chance to come back to the forest as long as you cause no further trouble. We often even let known troublemakers pass by peacefully if they do not linger, so do not call us oppressors. We guard the forest, the land, and the Balance as a whole. We do not claim ownership of neither land, nor creature. We simply guard it from the likes of he who created this post. -Elana of Oakmist Vale, Servant of Mielikki" |

*placed in the same locations, although this time only refreshed in Kampo's, Underport, and one copy at a time in Cordor* A few days have passed, and it seems there is no response from the Druids that would seem to indicate they wish to heed the rights of everyday common folk. My only term to taking this bounty down was allowing the free people of Amia to place simple, harmless, signs within the woods -so that they may buy, sell, and trade peacefully where a great deal of people seem to do a lot of standing around. Trade among peoples, is not limited to a 'merchant hall', oh no, I nearly laugh when I read this sort of attitude. Merchants and free trade happen wherever there are people to buy and sell. -anywhere, could be the Abyss for all I care, or a petting zoo forest. -in this case the latter. I'm merciful in my demand, and am allowing you plenty of time, regardless of your previous insults and attempts to harm my reputation and personal well being, failed attempt on my life included. I am willing to offer one last chance to allow back the rights that the free people of Amia already deserve. If you choose to be bloodthirsty tyrants killing people over the slightest excuse, and denying their freedoms in the process, then it is of your own choosing..and your own downfall. With love, -Mortin p.s. ..the days are counting down |

We will not bargain with the threats of a dark necromancer. The fact you call yourself elven while you aid slavers such as the Lolthite Nakasha is an insult to the name of the Quessir. If you take your threats of violence to the forest, I will simply throw them out again, as I've done to you before. If you intend to try, then do so; these notices give you neither credibility nor respect. ~ Floriane Taurielle, Forester of Oakmist Vale |

*read over the notices seeing if any resolution has been made. Seeing there hasn't been she writes* Free People of Amia, The Horsemen protect your rights even those that would be shunned by certain practices or skills. In fact a persons integrity or character isn't in question here. It's simply the fact that a merchants sign was destroyed in the forest to do someone elses distastes for such that was seen as an "eye sore" by a bully of a guard, getting pretty common the word bully and guard going hand in hand, anyone else tired of it besides the Horsemen? Might I add destruction of others property is against most lands laws not just Chillwick. Don't turn this into a trial of character, who are we to say who is and isnt' acceptable based on anything but there actions? The law broken here was destruction of property, it's blatantly clear. The Druids should offer to reimburse him for the cost of his sign and inform him in very plain and clear to understand wording he is not to return to the forest or face due repercussions, since it seems to me this is the motive behind the guards actions to begin with, of which I'm not against. Only that the guard in question was in error on how she approached the enforcing of forest law. Where is Forest Law posted by the way? Expect the Horsemen to be available if needed to guard further Caravans and Merchants, Simply get in touch with us via speedys. We'll send a force of Elite Horsemen, two or more by your choosing to stand guard as you conduct your business safely, for a honest fee of course, if interested we'll discuss fees when we meet. The notices in the forest are vandalized by wildlife, like previously. The following note is left at Kampos. The forest is not a trading center and it will not function in that capacity. Your threats mean nothing. You are already considered the enemy you have proven yourself to be. Don't not enter the forest if you value your life. |

A second note is put up in Kampos. So much for not enforcing "Horsemen law" anywhere but in Chillwick. Are you now a mercenary group for hire who protects outlaws and dark necromancers from the law of different locations? What happened to "hating slavery" and "attacking the Red Wizards" for that, in part? Now you're wanting to aid one. If you're going to lie, at least be good at it. |

Answer me this, Horsemen...How can you stand there and pretend to uphold law when you know nothing about it in the first place? You cannot make up law signs and carry them around and deem them to be local law. Those are just words on a sign. Do you know why this is? Jurisdiction is the answer to that. You have no jurisdiction, thus your words and foot-stomping is meaningless. Cease your ridiculous nonsense and maybe you might be able to be seen as an intelligent being. Voronwer Amakiir |

As stated before they are the -same- laws as Cordor with -very- minor differences for the benefit of the free peoples of Amia guidance to not fall to anarchy, they do not benefit the Horsemen, we simply offer an alternative to those corrupt regimes that plague the isle in it's major cities and simple protection for those willing to go out into the hunting areas and wilderness and improve themselves. Horsemen -Elite-, not all Horsemen are for hire just the Elite and thats all the merchant will need. We will stand guard and do nothing but stand as guards if unprovoked for his right to sell wares. His character as I said isn't in question here it's who broke the law. We -will- stand for his and any others right to sell there wares and offer our protection should need be. We make no claim of the forest nor have intentions toward such, any offenders arrested by the Horsemen will be handed over to the locale authorities that hold jurisdiction there. The message will be heard and it takes a messenger to do it, a Horsemen. Legion |

*read over what was just wrote and leaves her own reply porting back to base to get some rest* So Mortin was knowingly allowed to stay until he put up his sign. I don't see how placing a sign up would change anything. He still has the Horsemen Elites assistance should he ask for it. So you just kill on sight those that would set foot in the forest that have been banned without even giving them the chance to leave on ther own free will? I should speak to Malandria I do believe, that is unacceptable. For one thing it's a forest not a city there is no walls to show boundaries and the like. Although I respect the illusory boundaries I was told, I honestly don't see how you could possibly patrol such a vast area effectively and justly or what gives you jurisdiction over the forest that others can't enforce as well. Do you just go around and find a forest and say alright this is ours now we'll enforce our law here? How does one become the owners of the forest? No I do believe I should speak with Malandria at length and find out what exactly these druids are enforcing and if they even have the right to do so. If the simple case is they have the force to do so then force will be answered with force. The Free People of Amia can take care of and enforce the forest just as well as the druids can, if it must actually come to that. Oh and for those that left a notice and left no signature I've nothing but contempt for cowards, you claim to best our army and won't even sign your name?, besides you've never seen it in full force nor do you want to. You -may- have bested a small patrol ,unlikely, but not the Horsemen Legions for certain. Grow a backbone or keep your insubstantial thoughts to yourself, in laymans terms, basically grow a pair or shut up. *Mortin, on his semi-daily patrols to the posters, takes down Sera's listing of the HoA, pocketing it, and not leaving a copy remaining for public view.* *He refreshes one of his messages... Alkor wrote: *placed in the same locations, although this time only refreshed in Kampo's, Underport, and one copy at a time in Cordor* A few days have passed, and it seems there is no response from the Druids that would seem to indicate they wish to heed the rights of everyday common folk. With love, -Mortin p.s. ..the days are counting down ...and adds a small note to the end* I would like the Archdruid's reply to this. -Mortin p.s. the days are still counting down |
