There's nothing illegal about the Sanctuary. It's just a distasteful place.
That being said, there's worse than that list that visits the Forest.

A certain dark haired elf walks by reading one of the fliers only to shake his head.

Please attempt to not post around idiotic posters around the fair city. If you do feel the raging need to do so, attach your name at the bottom of such so we can have a lovely discussion on it.

After Sergeant Aritek posts his note, Private Chevailaes simply removes any notices that he finds around the city on his patrols. He keeps one for himself one to add to guards records.

"Providing false names of well-known people is idiotic and easily see-through. As I said, attempt to not further clutter the city.

//No, though that could be a facet of it. Please provide roleplay that you have done that shows your proof and skill in forgeries and the specific forgery of Renais' name in this contex, and how it could hold up against one of the character's close acquaintances seeing it.
You don't need to post this publically if you fear metagaming, I can handle it privately and then post a verdict or sme sort of D or requirement if necessary.

You can do things as you do them, but I'm not you. If your character has seen the actual signature in-game (and I doubt most have, ever), then they get to know the truth. Sometimes bad guys don't do everything right anyways, and having a flaw can actually make for good role-play in the long run.

The primary reason for this poster was to inform the people of Cordor, and that was done. It can be believed or not, it really doesn't matter to the character who posted this as to the identity of the poster. Secondly, only the viewers who have seen the signature of Renais Whiteheart can decipher if it is fake or not- keep this in mind as well. There is no lack of role-play on my end because the initial intention was accomplished. I could have put any name as a signature, and it wouldn't change much as far as the message, only knowing (for some viewers) that the signature is fake can alter the validity, if it is deemed nessesairy, assuming that only certian names give more validity to the information posted. The fake signature was an afterthought (if it wasn't, it would have been on the origional posters). Edit: // Let me put an end to this OOC stuff for everyone: Maybe the poster is betting that anyone who knows the signature was faked will dismiss the information above it as false as well when it could be true. There was no intention to create a well-forged signature. Perhaps the intent of the poster can be seen to confuse more than anything else (evil characters don't always lie). Perhaps the origional poster was not the one who faked the name at the bottom (I mean, who really knows?). Maybe the fake signature was some sort of joke not to be taken seriously. The reaction is up to the characters that view it [and not the players] based only off of what was seen IC.

Crow notices the poster and breaths a sigh of relief at not seeing his name on the poster. "Time does smooth some things it seems." He thinks to himself and moves off to the cart services.

Leon, in passing by the notice would sigh, and jot down a (hopefully) final note.
"For those who feel the need to threaten people via parchment, I pity you. Having said that, I will -not- have these messages scribbled on the walls of the city. All parties involved with cease immediately.

yes....I am not a good person, I am a exceedingly bad person, and i dont write my name on this poster because i know how foul and effective a murderer your husband is, I would be happy however to hunt you down personally Elrien, for the blood you spilled over a dead lothite drows corpse, loviatar would be proud, and I look forward to showing you a vengence that will leave you shaken...yes...this is a threat, but you deserve it, you deserve a death that will ecco in the afterlife and leave you wondering wether you should return or not. Some of us love the grove and would die to protect it, you killed a ranger....for that you and your whore of a husband will die.

A notice is hung up on entree to the city of Cordor.
"Adventures,
Let it be known that plotting to kill someone within the City of Cordor or ideal threats of killing someone within the City of Cordor is against the law punishable by imprisonment. I strongly advice the people men or women posting these continues fliers threatening one another to stop or you will when caught receive punishment to the full extend being imprisonment and an extremely hefty fine. It is advised that any Cordorian Guard that witnesses another person posting up fliers being threats against another individual or group of people to act accordingly.

If you wish to go and give threats, please direct them towards the right people. Elrien Rowa did not kill anyone over the Lolthite's corpse, I did. And I did so after being attacked first, several times, after several warnings and requests to cease the hostility.
To those having to read this notice; My apologies, the former poster left no address to deliver a personal reply to. What comes to Sanctuary of Sin, their gambling tables are quite lovely and I recommend you to try them.

A small note is placed
Elrien Rowa did not strike down Forestsong and myself, it was Cometer, though I do not recall him being attacked first. His blade sliced through Forestsong to cleave into me over the body of the Lolthite. I still cannot understand how Miss Elrien could allow such a thing to take place over the body of a slaver. May the Dark Maiden forgive their souls...and mine if I ever see him alone. I'll not soon forget seeing the flash of his blade with Forestsong's blood spraying all over me. ~~C~~ crow

I allow it because there needs to be respect for the dead; respect I have seen the people present deny Nakasha. I will not in any way condone her actions, but I /will/ insist that you, as a follower of Eilistraee, Crow, heed Her words that fallen enemies of any kind are to be given respect and burned properly.
It's a lesson I had to learn, and apparently one you also do. It's inappropriate to humiliate or mutilate the dead. The fact that that woman was willing to cause great harm to me for that body tells me she was not going to maintain the sanctity of death-respect. For that reason, I will not now, nor ever, apologise for my or Cometer's actions.
When one needs to resort to violence, it's clear one's interpersonal skills are lacking. This entire thing is not about jurisdiction, it's about wanting your own way, and being willing to resort to any means to get it. Cometer attacked because /I/ was attacked. Not him. He was defending his wife, and the mother of his four children, when a Clenching Fist was cast on me. A slow, painful death, if I did not have the kind of resilience I do, might I add. If any one of you can say you would not attack someone who hurt the person you love, I would think that would say a good amount about your priorities.
Forestsong attacked because arbitrary rules were not followed. You know, and I know, that the destruction of corpses has nothing to do with Balance. This was a Grove member's attempt to tyrannically enforce the laws she decided were prudent, and nothing more. Don't take this as an attack against the Grove. This is a specific rebuff of the actions of one person of the Grove, and one Triadist. The day I see them taking action to ensure the proper burial of /every/ dead body there, then perhaps I will heed that. Until then, I will call it how I see it. Disrespect, and a childish temper tantrum when one doesn't get one's way.
I respect the Grove, in truth, and I respect what they do. But as I would not respect a law in any city that I felt demeaned or degraded the dead, so I will not respect it there. If that means I am not welcome, so be it. My people, /all/ of my people, not just the ones who giggle and play love whilst bastardizing our own dogma, come /first/. Nakasha is deeply, deeply buried in evil. However, I don't believe that she deserves ill treatment after death. You beat her. You can't get more beaten than dead. Move on.
I think that if people really wanted to make a difference, education, not attack, is the way to do it, and recognizing that "Because I Say So" as a basis for law rarely gets you the results you desire.
Now. For all you "Loving shadow-walkers" out there who are ever-so-concerned with the Rangers, I suggest you get your sorry ass out of the /city/ and into the /forest/. If you spent less time spouting trash, you'd be able to actually know what the hells you're talking about.

You had no authority nor right to claim the body... and the fact that she returned not a day later to attack us again tells me you raised a known slaver, murderer and Lolthian.

Miss Elrien,
Perhaps you should have also asked of Nakasha in addressing her at some point about her antics involving Sir Yaston's body (Involving the use of a bomb set to go off when anyone attempted to move him for healing purposes). Or the injuries visited on the Headmaster by her during the same incident.
If a standard regarding mutilation or desecration of bodies is to be enforced, it should be enforced wholly.

Miss Elrien, with all due respect, you must not have heard me suggest that the body be burned not a minute after she was put down. I, nor anyone else had any intention of mutilating her evil corpse. I only wanted the honors because of my recent abduction and torture by Nakasha was still fresh in my mind. Get your facts straight.
// remember how pist she got OOC because I suggested it? //
I understand what you mean about priorities, and those one loves. I drew steel only because I saw Cometer slice through Forestsong. You can't save the world, one drow at a time, though I wish you luck in this endeavor.

For a second I almost considered not killing you, but then you do something like this, clearly you are but a monster of chaos with no respect for laws and rightfull rulers of lands..in short a anarchist and a rather stupid one at that with childish tandrums of "arbitrary rules" so the world dosnt follow you every whim, well im sorry if you are not worshipped as a god and people bow to your infinite visdom...you want anarchy, you want to be without laws, you clearly do, you dont seem to respect anything but Ad Hoc laws that benifits your idiotic version of the world do you? You clearly have no idea what laws are or what a enforcer of the law is allowed to do, this is grove lands, not yours, and you are a guest, dont abide by thier laws and you get thrown out or worse and you have made your position clear. Ill give you anarchy, ill make a special exception just for you, for there is little in this world i despise more than spoiled brats that thinks they can save the world, while endangering it more than any drow. You might not carry the symbols of a spider bitch...but your certainly do aid them, and you certainly are a Bitch. You might not have killed the ranger Forestsong, but you condone the action, in my book, that makes you just as guilty, protect the rights of a mass murdering drow? then you are working for a mass murdering drow...and ill make an example out of you. PS. To the cordor guards..ive seen the dark temples under your city, perhaps you should remove them before supporting a loviatarian whore's cry for attention.

Tuomas; that would fall under my caveat of not supporting her actions. I would, were I there, have recovered Yaston's body just the same. However, I wasn't there. And Forestsong, you know perfectly well how quickly death loses hold here. Don't compound violence with blind ignorance. Seeking to fling blame should be beneath you. If she saw the psychotically rambling death threat, she calls no attention to it.

*A final note is attached*
"Settle your damn squabbles outside of Cordor. And must you talk about random things on a damn piece of paper on a wall? Come now, settle it like adults in person, or use letters. This is getting out of hand, and frankly, I'm putting an end to this.
-Sergeant Leon Aritek"
Leon goes about removing any further notes, deciding that the squabbling went on long enough.
