*Posted in Edonil and L'Obsul tradehouse* Six was their number an adult-not a one. The Yath stood leering the service begun. Keen whips, sharp words drove them to their knees. Dread eyes flared red enraged with their pleas. Forefront stood Yath'Taller drunk on fey grace. Beauty incarnate not a mark on her face. Her gaze shot through them a bolt from a quiver. In despair and weakness dared one to shiver. The Yath surged forward eager to vent her wrath. A young male stood, moved to bar her path. She paused a moment her eyes going wide. "I was bred to protect her!". In defiance he cried. "Rebellions to be crushed, and you lacking strenth- shall be beaten with zeal, and xas at great lenth". So the beating began, and did not abate- till the body had stilled, her eyes drained of hate. So the sermon resumed, the Yaths temper lost- and a kneeling Jalil measured the cost. Defiance and weakness had wrought only woe. Her abban was now lost, the valiant Kroe. *Signed by Hael'irra, Lintharess ascendant Ussen D'Vhid* |

*posted some time after, and titled, 'The Nasadran'* From ember’d ruin of Shimmered Web The pair they took their flight ‘Neath snowy caps of Graypeak range And through perpetual night Many leagues and months they trod In search of place to dwell The vestige of a once proud race That fiery fate befell She wore locks like silver, spun With flawless ebon face A voice possessed of purest tone Endowed with noble grace He was grim and battle worn His eyes both keen and bright A shining blade he held aloft In defiance of their plight So, they came at last upon A gate of fashioned steel And bade the guard to let them pass Their weariness to heal Ere long they gained a quellar door With oath of service sworn Exalted ranks and accolades And livery was worn But council favor soon was lost A curse upon them laid With demons sent to smite the weak Whose apathy repaid The city, doomed, was laid to waste Its gates cast down and bent Water coursed through shaft and cave And filled ‘til fury spent Again, the two set foot upon The dark and hidden path Their quellar split by rift of wills Dispersed through vengeful wrath Then house reborn and built anew But matron’s ire was earned The one was heard in counsels deep The other was but spurned She, he held in high regard His worth abated soon Thoughts returned to Ched Nasad When once he was a boon Desire, at once, renewed his yearn To gaze upon the site Where long ago they did conspire And vowed to rule the night Thus, he went to search alone Amid the ruined heap For fervent sign of might restored And promises to keep Yet naught was found but ash and bone No voices heard to call Smoke still rose from twisted wreck The reek of death, a pall And so, he wanders ever since With memories of yore Devoted of a distant dream To one he does adore |

*Posted over the earlier missives* My Shadow My shadow does not judge me- Its always by my side. Aware of all my weaknesses- And still it does abide. It shares with me my mystery- In it I do confide. It hangs upon my every word- And never does it chide. My shadow dwells within the realm- And dances in my wake. And in the absence of the light- We plunder our fair take. So with cycle done all tasks complete, I lay my weary head- You can bet your wicked ass on this.. The shadow shares my bed. |
