Town criers are paid to distribute these warnings, and they are placed upon the most prominent notice boards in Cordor, Wiltun, Kohlingen, Wharftown, Uhm, Bendir Dale.

Notification to All Citizens of a Dangerous Person:
To be considered a Hazard to the Public Health and Safety of both freemen and vilein.

Image

A Half-Red-Dragon with a Dangerous Mental Condition.

Let it be known to all citizens and freemen of the Isles of Amia and Ruathym that the easily identifiable Half-Dragon known to some as Rras, Ixen, Red, or possibly any number of aliases and pseudonyms, is not of sound mind, his precarious mental state amounting to a hazard to others.

He has confessed that he hears disembodied voices, acts with disdain for the laws of common society, and he has committed the egregious act of murder and cannibalism, for which he has never faced punishment. It is unknown how many lives have been harmed or ended previously while he has concealed his condition and avoided treatment.

The profile of his psyche is all but completely matched to those suffering from the incurable affliction of psychopathy. The Common villain has a destructive antisocial personality that utilizes information control, artificial personal relationships, violence, battery, and intimidation to acheive perverse goals, which are at odds with societal constraints. While many who suffer from this affliction can easily be identified as sociopaths, the most insidious individuals are able to illicit sympathy of the societies that they predate upon, blending in to gain subtle influence. It should be known that in any case they have little in the way of restraint, inhibition, or care for others' well being.

During the course of interviews with him, I arrived at this conclusion based on the following:

- He is known to display simple and blase' charisma in order to obtain goals and desires, and manipulate others to be favorable to him.

- He is prone to extreme bouts of irritability, and has total lack of tolerance for frustration. This will either lead to further attempts at manipulative control, or:

- Extremely Aggressive behavior. Subject easily becomes incited to violent thoughts over relatively minor slights. This is due to:

-Callousness, lack of empathy for other beings. He is incapable of perceiving others as capable of feelings. This fundamental lack of empathy leaves him incompatible with societal values and constraints.

- He is unable to experience guilt and learn from correction by punitive action. When faced with punishment, he might overtly display false remorse if he believes that it will be perceived favorably.

- He is capable of rationalizing his own behavior, purporting self as the victim, and placing blame on others; even when doing so stretches reality. He will lie pathologically in order to acheive favorable goals.

As his previous Chirurgeon and counsel, I feel obligated to break confidence and warn the general public due to real and imminent threats of violence and murder he evoked during that confidence, namely machinations of an unspeakable act aimed at a child. This broke my will to shelter him with privilege, and left me with the duty to inform the public about his dangerous psychopathic state.

He is absolutely not to be trusted in even the smallest matter. If he attempts to solicit favors, please direct him to the nearest physician or asylum, recommending that he seek commitment.

I wash my hands of this matter and will have no more professional dealings with him. If you read this notice, fail to heed it, and you thereby come to harm: it is by your own willful disregard of my warning and not by my failure to give it. I will take absolutely no liability for his actions, and it is not by my efforts that he walks freely in your cities.

I leave this warning knowing that many of his personal associates are blind to his condition and prior bad acts. I predict with some certainty that this sociopath will unduly coerce these associates to attest to his character, as well as attack mine; so that he may continue to avoid treatment for his malady. Know that I chance not any personal gain or profit by this warning, or have any reason whatsoever to wish to fraudulently libel his character. I attest that the information contained in this warning is accurate and truly represented to the best of my knowledge and training, and that I make these statements freely and of my own volition.

Sincerely,

Vyashir Indrire

Layla was walking by Wiltun, nostalgia filling her as she looked to the sea and the boats travelling there, when she heard a rumour here and there about said notice.

When she read it, a somewhat presumptuous smile took shape in her lips. She said nothing, but she thought:

I knew it! And the others chastised me for saying something similar about this monster, telling me I should be more understanding and bringing an argument about my elven heritage... At least I do not go randomly threatening or killing people! I wonder what they will do about this notice and the creature now.

====================================
Eilin'ira, when seeing the notice, had a similar reaction than Layla's and shuddered violently when remembering what happened to her on her way to the shrine of Eilistraee. Warding herself with as many spells as she knew (and they were not many yet), she pulled a hood over her head and stalked away, nearly bumping onto a random bystander.

Without apologizing, the drowess moved on.

====================================
Auron grumbled something unintelligible and then sighed, remembering his own predicament at trying to control the urges of his shadow dragon blood. For the first time ever since he awakened his own dragonblood, he felt better about himself.

"And to think I was worried about going insane. Apparently, the chances of it happening with a halfbreed are higher than the ones happening with an awakened. Or so I hope. It might as well be a slow process of--"

Auron interrupted himself when noticing he was musing outloud. Making sure his cloak and hood were covering himself, making sure the least of his traits could be seen, he walked to the docks and took a boat to Endir's Point, wondering whether or not he should try helping the half-red.

Gorthod reads one of the notices in Cordor whilst puffing away on a pipe, he shakes his head a moment and then carefully removes one to stuff away into his pack.

"Poor snotling." He shrugs, and then makes his way through the city.

Arronax reads the note and arches a brow. Leaving one of his own with a slight grin.

Nobody's perfect.
At least with him, you know what imperfections you get.

He's less psychotic and more acting like a Red, but the notice is right that you should never trust him fully and always expect potential violence from him. It's what his kind do.

The note is unsigned

While reading the morning updates in Winya, Vaelmith quirks his brow.

~.. You've got to be kidding me, right? ~ he asked himself mentally as he read the notice.

----

A barely awake Tuomas reading the updates rather suddenly shot up.

"Gadzooks! An--.. oh.. " he read, realizing it was about the same Red Dragonkin who caused him fright.

Sand walks by one of these notices one day in Cordor. His jaw drops and he quickly responds via posting:

"Thank you, Vyashir, for pointing this out...what is it, months, perhaps years, after he has done all this? The fact that it has taken the entire island THIS LONG to come to this conclusion is a tribute to the ignorance of it's populace, really. I have said it before, and I will say it again:

He. Is. A. Half. Red. What. Did. You. Expect.

Sarah Godfrey brings a copy of this posting to her Ladyship, Emma Vaughn, who reads it over breakfast, both her brows raised high.

"What is it, niece?" her Uncle asks her, setting down a napkin.

"Nothing unexpected," she replies quietly. "I do think I should return to the Monolith soon though, Uncle."

"Trouble?" he asks, keeping his tone even, but his brow too is raised.

"There shall be."

"Taking Malcom with you?"

"I'll let him know where I'm going, of course. Will you please do the same should he seek me here?"

"I shall," he replies simply. "But hand over that notice."

She passes it to him and he reads it quickly and quietly, his face betraying no emotion.

"Same fellow," he says, setting it down.

"Same fellow."
