Sprawled on top of an obdisian tanning table in the Wiltun outskirts lie three mangled elven bodies, with their skin flayed off. The skill of the individual is quite aparrent as there is not much blood to be found.

A well written note in purple ink is scribbled onto the base of the table, perfectly perpendicular to the ground.

“A quiet night in the Wiltun town, displaying my creation; an elven skinned gown.

Leaning on her staff a haughty young lass, lo and behold A damned Ar’Tel’Quess.

Limping along she passed me by, spewing rot from her mouth with an evil eye

A wave of her wand and then she was gone, and she came back again with another along!

The “Captain” as she called him; came up to my face, to ramble on and on about my race.

He beckoned me out then for a walk, with the young lass imploring me to back up my talk.

While in the midst of taking their skin, another came by to save his kin!

A test of the fabled elvish might? Well for me it’s three skins on this lovely night!

Signed , Your favorite elven-skin Tanner,
Zilv’Xar

Chancing upon the scene, a lone halfling surreptitiously checks the surroundings for any valuables to pilfer.

// Forgive me if my memory's off but... didn't:

A) The Elven lass refuse due to finding some of the PvP questionable in this?

B) Both you and your comrade flee into the night before any flaying took place?

I am sorry for the OOC I just wanna confirmation. It was late and I was spiking emotionally.

//And lastly, you were told a DM disapproved heavily of this, calling it illegal. I will not abide you posting things that MY character supposedly did that did not happen. So screenies, or take it down. Now.

// Hello Grymia!

Everything was IC and was flowing perfectly from my point of view. The post was meant for anyone’s interpretation for no names were posted.

All IC in a D&D setting. (Elf hating drow – that’s how it is lore-wise)

Here are the screenies, to show the flaying took place. 2nd link. (Uninvolved parties are blacked-out for respect)

You might have missed it cos it was just a short one-liner to portray the IC characteristics of my toon and NOT intended to be graphic ;)

I thought it was much much more subtle than the decapitaions, sacrifices, lynching, and burning alive that happens all the time, lol.

From my exchange with the DM, i interpreted it as the player of the young lass did not have to sit through the post battle RP if she did not want to. Not a complete negation of the event (as read from the rule book in the journal).

No hard feelings OOC.

Cheers.

//Again. Ianthe left. /I/ left and told you I would have no part of it, especially after you decided to PVP me without permission after being told IC that she would not fight, and that he would fight Vael or no one. Being in a PVP zone is not consent. I told you a DM had been alerted and had said "No" on the skinning, that would be Peeves (Poorvincente). That /does not/ entitle you to do to my character what you want in my absence. Take her out of it.

//Really? So that rule about requiring consent before you attack can go? I don't have to give outs?

Sweet.

That being said, I still /will not/ be part of any RP a DM says is illegal. Nor will I allow my character to be puppeted by someone I (a.) don't know, and (b.) did not give permission to. ESPECIALLY not in an illegal RP. Take. Her. Out.

//There's no long term side effects of death in Amia and the skins disolve upon resurection. Relax. Take a deep breath, remember the logic in the situation, laugh it off and just roll with it.

You lost. Who cares. Whats done is done. Don't cry over it.

Elven skinning.... why didn't I think of that... anyways, I'll agree with people on this one. Remember that there are under 18s playing this game (and it seems, over 18s who are as well) who may be extremely uncomfortable to this kind of RP mate. To take under consideration for future occurrences of adult heavy RP.

*In any case, if the three bodies were still displayed upon Beldor's crossing of the Wiltun outskirts, he would heal the bodies extensively through his own magic and scrolls to regrow the skin. Afterward, he would attempt to raise the three, unless they should refuse from the afterlife.//PM if your PC would inquire deity affiliation before accepting raise dead.//*

*He would say nothing to any of them upon their raising, but instead would walk away flexing his fingers by his sides. A few hours later, a message appears on the tanning table, magically burned in. And literally, still burning with purple and crimson flames flickering from the gash-like marking of the letters:*

See Me. Now.

//The DM in question was me. Apologies for any misunderstandings.

To clarify: A player may decline to participate in gory stuff. In place of that, a *fade to black* can be employed.

A red-haired Elf comes upon a horrid image in a market stall in Wiltun. Put up for display there are bits of Elven bodies and pieces of skin. His eyes want to burn a hole through the sign above the stall, and he reads the name on it thrice, slowly. With very controlled steps, a sickening knot tightening up his throat, he stalks out through the gates looking for footprints. Violence was on his mind.

//I always assume there's a name on the stall. Correct me if I'm wrong.

*Upon hearing the news Erelkacha snarls and grips her sword hilt, cursing in drow and muttering something about it being high time for a dark hunt*
