A scroll of papyrus parchment is left hung by string and nail at the Cordor Orpahage. By the look of the handwriting it can be easy to tell the purpose was meant for the message to be read aloud. However, nobody can seem to remember that having ever happened.....

The Parchment wrote:
Today we gather together in memory of an inspired woman. Today we are here to honor a friend, a mother, a caretaker. We are together to show our respects to Perseverence. A Sister of Salandra’s Temple, a woman of Cordor, and a soul who has touched the hearts of countless lives.

Although today we weep for the loss of such a great woman, we should weep with a smile in knowing that Perseverence rests with Salandra by Her hearth. Born in the year..., Perseverence was raised ... [The parchment goes on to a list although it was never finished into proper sentences.]
>> Location Born / Year Born
>> Married To
>> Children Had
>> Years with Salandra’s Temple
>> Year of beginning work with the Orphanage

Perseverence was nothing less than devoted to her duties in the many years she worked in the Cordor Orphanage. She lived and breathed what it means to follow Salandra’s path. A mother of two daughters already, Perseverence knew love for her family and brought that love into the Orphanage. Perseverence can be spoken of as the Grandmother of the orphanage. She tended to the children with a belief in their future. Every child was important; a young life full of energy and potential, Perseverence devoted herself to their upbringing.

It is no doubt that Perseverence had a dream that every child she blessed could one day find a home with a new family. And until a family could be found, it was Perseverence’s leadership that has kept the orphanage a good home. Every donation was invested into the children’s well-being. Whether by ensuring food was never in shortage, clothes were always warm and clean, or toys were replaced and books kept available. Perseverence has left a legacy of time and effort into ensuring the livelihood of future generations.

Perseverence shall forever be remembered for her dedication. For it is that very dedication to the lives of children that Perseverence has passed into Salandra’s arms.

The night that Perseverence passed away is the same night she became, without a question of a doubt, a Hero. It is still fresh upon the mind that night when sea hags crept from Cordor’s south docks and began an assault on the people. It is the testimony of the Cordor Guard that the Orphanage was the primary target of these creatures.

Perseverence and Faith had finished tucking the children in for the night when the door was forced open. In a selfless act, Perseverence ordered Faith to get the children upstairs and to safety. Perseverence had thrown herself as a shield over the children, her life on the line for the sake of more than a dozen others. And it was her life that Perseverence gave so that none of the children were harmed. Her actions were without hesitance, her deed the purest of intent, and her sacrifice without fear. Perseverence was able to stop the sea hag long enough that nobody else would suffer pain that night. Perseverence gave the greatest gift- Life. And she gave it to each and every child in her care.

Perseverence shall be remembered as a Hero. As we pay our respects, we do so to a mother, a friend, and a caretaker that knew what it meant to Love. Let it be Perseverence’s legacy that though we weep for her, that we smile for her. We are here today to honor all she stood for: compassion, duty, benevolence, and hope. As our lives go on may we each carry with us the memory of a true Guardian Angel.

When seeing said note, after randomly passing by the Orphanage frowns Enys.

"Truely?" she muses to herself, "This woman was a greater hero than any of these so called adventurers you meet in the field, slaying giants and lizards en mass. But none of these did ever sacrifice them self like this woman did."

Rubbing over her chin sighs she a little, "It is truly a pity no noble soul would try to eradicate these cursed sea hags. It is one thing to threaten and kill people who can fight back but it is entirely a different thing to threaten and try to kill these who can not fight back and only thanks to the sacrifice of this noble woman were there no further losses, safe for her life. Truly a great woman she was."
