When Rosalinde sees one of these notes, she scowls. The memories of this Sway woman's shadowy agent insulting herself and Zephyr are still clear in her mind. I will keep watch of you, Leticia Sway. There is something going on within your house that is not right. I will keep watch of you, indeed... The large human knight mutters to herself, before clanking off. |

"Lady" Leticia Sway is personally delivered a handwritten letter from the very Minister of Law himself, Joseph Maximillian. Like many other documentation coming out of the government's growing ranks, the letter lacks any forgeable seals of state, signatures or otherwise. Leticia Sway, The Commonwealth expresses a great curiosity at your actions, advertising a recruitment campaign into an unknown noble house you call Sway. It is unusual for a noble house to recruit amongst the common people, as your brand of nobility, as we in the Commonwealth have learned the hard way, is earned only by status of birth and not merely by pledges, oaths, or attendance at a seminar like the one you are advertising. Considering the immediate threat against the Commonwealth posed by the Noble's Army, the hidden mercenary army hired by dispersed, former noble houses of Cordor that supported the reign of the corrupt Duke Montgomery d'Cordor, and in turn the complete oppression of the common people of the City of Water as we now identify, your advertisement for "recruitment" strikes the Ministry of Law as extremely circumspect and you are hereby ordered to forestall the event on the Cordorian fairgrounds, to which the Commonwealth lays absolute claim, pending an investigation into this noble-sanctioned seminar. You are also invited to visit the Commonwealth Center in Cordor's Eastern District at your earliest convenience to meet with me personally. To the best of our knowledge, Sway is a foreign nobility and not one of those guilty of crimes against the people, but we should like to hear a more formal explanation out of you as to why you are vexing the people with this reminder of their mistreatment at the hands of nobility, which is no longer recognized in this our Commonwealth, native or foreign. Please respond. The clerk will wait for your return address. Postage is paid. Sincerely, Joseph Maximillian Speaker for the Provisional Council Commonwealth of Cordor |

| Post subject: | Lady Sway's notice (a reply to the Commowealth) |
*a shapely and beautiful messenger, bearing the colors of the Noble House Sway upon her skimpy running outfit, comes to the Commonwealth building in Cordor, bearing a letter addressed to Speaker Maximillian, her body glistening with a thin sheen of sweat, having evidently come quite far to deliver the message* The letter reads: Speaker Maximillian, greetings. As you have seemed to simply assume that I am attempting to increase the size of my family, you must not have taken the time to view the original letter I had my messengers post around the city. I am not seeking to increase the familiar members of my House, though I -do- treat all of those under my employ as family. Also, it is unfortunate that you have assumed anything, at all. It was my full intention to inform your city government of my plans here in Cordor, but it had not come to pass yet, as my scribe has not finished our proposal. The seminar was a simple proactive beginning to the process that I am no doubt certain your city goverment will agree to once they decide to hear me out. Now, I wan't aware that there was a law against holding a seminar to recruit those that wish to become paid employees of the House Sway. If there is such a law, I ask that you please supply me with documentation of such. As with any employer who is hiring people that may obtain, come across, or otherwise glean knowledge about subjects that carry a sensetive nature, I require any who wish to work for me to take an oath of service and loyalty, and obey the code of conduct that is to be followed by all members of my House that -are- family, along with all non-familial employees therein, before I officially hire them. By no means do I require that these employees disregard their previous oaths to any other organization, religious group, or any other affiliation. Most assuredly, I would never assemble a force with the intention of waging war, or participating in violent amasses. I must tell you that I am rather offended that an esteemed member of such an important part of Cordorian Government, would assume that a Noble Lady, such as myself, would ever attempt such a thing. The assumption is preposterous. On that note, I can also provide you with my Birthright Documentation, and allow you to view my House Crest. I have no desire to integrate my House into a part of your city's govermential system, nor do I wish to have any say, power, insight or anything else, into the laws and practices of Cordor. I will further add that the House Sway has no ill intentions towards the Commonwealth, or any other organization. We are a mercanitle House, and we have wishes to expand our trade, and exportation of our fine goods to the Isles. Before you assume anything further, it might be prudent to ask a few of the people House Sway has aided since arriving here mere months ago. In fact, there have been numerous occasions where, at my own expense and manpower, situations that could have ended very terribly, were dissuaded, and solved with no violence what-so-ever. I urge you to consider that before you pass judgement upon the House Sway, or our ideals. It does seem to me, while I understand that a leader in your position must be cautious, that you have read into this topic without coming, first, to understand it, and secondly, to examine it fully. If you had, you would no doubt have seen the letter's posted around the city with positions we have open and their respective payments. I do not know about you, but I know of no Noble House that hires family members with a set rate of pay per tenday. I do hope you see my point. In conclusion, I would be more than happy to meet with you in person, and will attempt to do so just as soon as I find the time in my ever-busy schedule to come down there to the Commonwealth Center. I shall postpone the seminar as you requested, of course. Regards, Lady Leticia Sway Countess of the Noble House Sway of Sembia, and the City of Selgaunt *the letter is signed in a fine and skilled hand and is sealed with wax, the crest of House Sway imprinted upon it* Yossarin wrote: "Lady" Leticia Sway is personally delivered a handwritten letter from the very Minister of Law himself, Joseph Maximillian.
