*This letter is sent from the Shrine of Hoar in Nes'ek to all known faithful of Hoar in Khem. You must determine for yourself whether your Hoarite has made himself known and available to the Shrine in Nes'ek and receives this wall of text or not.*

:::JUST VENGEANCE UNTO OUR ENEMIES:::

ENCYCLICAL OF LUTHOR ULTIONIS OF THE THUNDEROUS HAND ON THE DAY OF 1. NIGHTAL 1374 DR

To the Venerable Brethren of the Ecclesia of Hoar, Bishops, Loyal Members of The Thundering Clergy, Paladins of Vengeance and the hard-working Laymen of The Church.

Venerable Brethren, Health and The Thunderous Blessing.

1. Venerable Brethren, The fair City of Nes'ek, where we were so warmly welcomed by the Church of Lathander after our forced withdrawal from The Holy Battlefields of Unther, has agreed to harbor also the Eternal Order of The Church of Kelemvor. Without surprise, wicked men still continue their lawless work against our cause, seeking to balk the formation of this Ecclesiastical Troika of Nes'ek, as it surely spells their doom. They do so, if rarely by open force, at least in other deceitful ways which are not always concealed. I find it formidable to be tasked with the the care of the Hoar's flock in these difficult times, and I am greatly pained by the particular dangers which beset also the other Churches of Nes'ek. However, I am powerfully consoled in our sufferings by your pastoral zeal, venerable brothers, which you not only proved to us in the full blast of the recent storm, but which you continue to demonstrate. However, the very gravity of this affair compels me to exhort you further, since you must steadfastly fight the battles of The Lord of Three Thunders. We must make all prudent provision for repaying the losses already incurred, as this is the best way to safeguard ourselves and all others against dangers which threaten in the future.

2. Venerable Brethren, I am saddened by having to inform you about a recent wrongdoing which has strengthened some wretched enemies of all truth, justice and honor, who strive both openly and deceitfully with plots of every sort to spread their disorders everywhere among the just people of Faerun. These disorders include the unbridled license of thinking, speaking and hearing every impious matter. Our enemies, they spread these like the foaming waves of a savage sea, and they exert themselves not only to shake the fragile alliance of Nes'ek, but to wreak havoc everywhere. The method of their diabolical design has been made very clear both elsewhere and particularly here in this fair City of Nes'ek, the seat of our pontificate. Here, in their wicked recklessness, as they cast divine and mundane affairs into confusion, they finally grew enraged enough to interfere with the work of the respected guardians of the City, and shamelessly assassinated a Knight of Kelemvor, sending him before his Jugde prior to his Time.

Hunters of Vengeance, I call upon you to hunt down this unknown assailant and repay this slaying, a death for a death. I shall pray for your success and hope that the heinous assassin is mortally wounded in an hour when he is deprived of all the helps of religion and family, so he is compelled to breathe his last breath in loneliness.

3. Venerable Brethren, in addition to those enemies of ours that target our city, the fair City of Nes'ek, and our ecclesiastical alliance, there are those that aim to destroy our faith above all else. These enemies of The Ecclesia usually employ a variety of deceits for turning the spirits of the people away from the faith of Hoar. For instance, they shamelessly affirm and cry it abroad that our religion is opposed to the glory, greatness and prosperity of Khem. So they say that faith of the Eight Gods of Mulhorand should be brought in, set up and increased in favor of Hoar, which they call a "false and foreign god." Then Khem could once more acquire its former splendor of ancient, that is, pagan, times. It is hard to decide which is the more hateful aspect of this fiction of theirs - the malice of their raving impiety or the effrontery of their lying wickedness. We should not be strange to the though, brothers, that the end goal of this most iniquitous plot is to drive the people of Khem to overthrow the entire order of human affairs, by confusing them with perverted teachings of these animalistic gods. These enemies of ours realize that they cannot hope for any agreement with the Ecclesia of Hoar, which allows neither tampering with truths proposed by faith, nor adding any new human fictions to them. This is why they try to tie the people of Khem to the faith of the Eight Gods. They know full well that the chief principle of the Mulhorandi tenets is to oppose change. Yes, at Horus-Re's behest, the status quo is maintained, ensuring that the priests of Horus-Re remain noble, remain rich, remain catered to by slaves and remain the sole passer and enforcer of law. Our enemies, they are confident that they can first push the Lawful Ecclesia of Hoar aside, claiming their god's authority while doing it, and then cause men to call into doubt the common principles of true justice and true honor, accepting the perverted versions of Mulhorand in their place.

As much as these men deserve nothing but our utter contempt and righteous wrath, repay their lies with nothing but truth. Bring light to the minds they seek to darken. Do not let Khem fall to lies. Do not let this portion of the Lord's vineyard be given as prey to all the beasts of the field: do not let the people of Khem, maddened by draughts from the poisoned goblet of Horus-Re, take up deadly arms against their Protectors, the Church of Hoar, The Church of Lathander and The Church of Kelemvor. I shall pray for your success and hope that these false prophets are driven back by your words.

4. Venerable Brethren, by the secret judgment of Hoar, we have been detailed to fight these critical dangers. In this fight, we must beware of the dreadful deceits and attacks of the men who plot against the faith of Hoar, they will attempt to laud us for all our victories and say that they spring from our hands. But we know, our counsel and our bravery is Hoar, without Whom we can do nothing but through Whom we can do all things. So, watch zealously over the flock entrusted to you and protect it energetically from the plots and attacks of ravening wolves. Share your counsels with one another; continue to meet with one another so that by sharing the inquiry, you may detect the main causes for the start of these dangerous evils in different districts. Thus you will be able to provide more timely remedies for them. With the guidance of the Avengers of The Shrine of Nes'ek, you should attempt to repay every attack, artifice, plot and endeavor of the enemies of the Ecclesia of Hoar, so that all their efforts may be fruitless. I earnestly require you, in your pastoral care, to ceaselessly ensure that the faithful entrusted to you are carefully taught the holy doctrines and precepts of our religion in accordance with their individual capacity; exhort and inspire them in every way to conform their lives and morals to these norms. For this purpose, inflame the zeal of your fellow churchmen. Instruct them to reflect seriously on their ministry, to keep in view the Principle of Divine Reciprocity, and to devote great energy to instructing the people, as the state of the times demands. Let them be eager to sow in all hearts the words of Hoar and the Precepts of Holy Retribution. This they can accomplish by declaring in concise and comprehensible sermons the vices they should avoid and the virtues they should practice in order to escape punishment and gain glory.

When our enemies seek to paint ut as zealous, unforgiving and even evil in the eyes of the common man, find strenght in the principle which we enforce: The Principle of Divine Reciprocity. Does it not tell ut that every action unto the other, through Hoar's just reciprocity, is an action unto oneself? Know and understand that this is how Hoar forces evil men, who will only think of themselves, to think of their others, because they know in their fearful hearts that the Hand of Hoar stands ready to enforce this Principle and mete unto them the same which they mete unto the World. In fear of our Vengeance, evil men are compelled to live decent and lawful lives. These same men would thrive in the forgiveness we are blessed to lack. Know this, and fear no accusations.

May His Divine Vengeance follow your step, and so ensure Peace, Health and Lawfulness for all,

Luthor Ultionis,
Chaplain of The Thunderous Hand,
Overseer of The Shrine of Hoar in The City of Nes'ek

* A man walks upon the cave that the two were using as a home. Mal'akh, the younger of the two steps to the mouth of the cave his frost rimed greatsword in hand and stops the newcomer cold in his tracks*

"It is not often that people come visit us" Called the white skinned golden eyed man. "State your name and business stranger."

*The newcomer bows polotely to the Aasimar and hands him a sheaf of papyrus*

"A message from Ne'sek, to be delivered to the faithful"

*The paladin takes a look at the seal on the papyrus, thanks the messenger and turns away to walk deeper into the cave that serves as their temporary home, reading the declaration as he walks. After a short distance he comes into another chamber where stands a man that is so obviously his twin that it is like looking in a mirror, even the clothing is the same. The second man looks up as the first enters*

"What is it brother, I see the fire in your eyes" says Seboath, his golden orbs reading the emotion on his brothers face "Has it finally come?"

"Yes brother, the call has been given. It is time, our work begins" says the first as he hands the papyrus to his brother.

*Moving as one, the two identical figures begin their methodical cleaning of the cave, leaving no evidence that the two were ever here to any but the keenest of trackers. Finally the call had come forth and their journey would begin*

Zetsumei, having recently moved to the city of Nes'ek and a frequent visitor of the chapel of Hoar, receives this letter. She attempts to read it, though she has a lot of trouble comprehending the vocabulary, speaking poor common. However, she is able to understand a significant portion. After reading, she nods sternly:

Vengeance, in honor of Hoar and Kelemvor, will come. The dishonorably will fall to justice!

She exclaims in her native tongue of Han. Typically quiet and shy, Zetsumei's anger is evident in her voice and disposition. This is a new side of Zetsumei no one had yet seen in the city. The young gravedigger then marches off into the desert land.
