Post subject:  [Everywhere in the Surface] The Plague from Underdark

I am searching anyone that has being contaminated by the Drow disease. I am conducting research and I can provide temporary healing for those who need it. I am already taking care of a patient, but I need to understand more of this disease to be able to match what I found with the samples I am collecting.

I will pay and help those that were contaminated, but I will detect the disease on people that show up, just to be certain.

Please send me a message if you want to meet and be part of my research. As soon as I find the cure it will be given freely to those who need.

Angela Eire.

PS: If you are uncertain if you have it or not, wait for up to 4 days (RL) that is the top of time that the disease seem to start symptoms.

Angela Eire,

I am also interested in this disease that is spreading around. When would be the best time to meet with you?

Well She would add one to the Gate in Winya, one to the Gates in Cordor, one in the gates of Uhm, WarfTown, Bendir Dale, Wiltun, the Cities of the Desert. Everywhere she could go as a good Cleric of Ilmater. For example, she wouldn't have one in Tarkuul.

A lone male slips out under the cover of darkness and happens upon the flyers in wharftown. He shakes his head whispering to himself before slipping several in his pouch. Speaking a word, he opens a portal and returns from where he came.

Warrick quietly looks at this notice, palms his face for starters, taking a quick copy and looking around to see how many have noticed it before bringing it to the attention of the Cordorian Health and Public Welfare Ministry.

"Shall a notice be drafted at once?" he asks, obviously concerned.

Dear people of Amia,

The Drow that was under my care has healed. Ilmater only knows how, but she has healed. I will keep her and check if the disease is completely gone for the next days. But for now, it seems that a long stay out of the Underdark makes the Drow heal, because I have not done anything at all to heal her. Maybe her gens have fought it off. Maybe her gens carry the cure.

I am very puzzled,

Ilmater Blessings,

Angela Eire

Dear Angelina Eire,

I am interested to see what this is about. I'm willing to gather ingredients on the surface if it would help in the efforts of finding a cure for this plague. Although I'm rather relunctant to journey into the Underdark to gather any. Please write back,

She takes down a notice as she reads it. “Gens fought it off….” she thinks for a moment. “She has healed.” Folding the notice neatly she tucks it away in a pocket as she moves with quick purposeful steps.

Dear People of Amia,

I have reasons to believe that the Drow under my care that healed, isn't the cure. I have found some indications that the cure come from the environment or from a certain combination of elements. I Believe I know where the disease came from and maybe even why. So, the Drow is gone from her Quarantine and I will use a contaminated blood sample to research.

I cannot disclose more of the findings in the moment, since the findings are not really findings since it raises more questions.

However, I am 98% certain that humans cannot get it from Drow at this point. Half elves cannot get it from Drow at this point. And I would think that even elves or other races wont be able to get it from Drow at this point. So, if anyone that is a non Drow have being contaminated, send me a message via speedy (PM me), because I want to study the case.

Lets Ilmater help us all to find a cure to this disease, and I believe He has being helping already.

Blessings to you all,
Angela Eire.

PS: I wont be helping to answer the questions that this sickness arose, because I have no answer. So, I am only seeking for those contaminated that are not Drow in case my assumptions are wrong. And the Drow that need help with the control of the disease while I cannot find a cure or someone else can.

So, I wont be answering curious inquiries for now..

In the Salandran Temple a certain drow spends his time making paintings of landscapes and healers, and writing plans to craft furniture.

As odd as it might seem, for now he seems to carry an air of quiet resignation, though still asking the healers from time to time:

"Got anything, yet?"

Examining the notice, Warrick's eyes narrowed.

~So, let me get this straight. You, unnessecarily create potential panic by speaking of this plague without a confirmed cure, and then you add this? Have you completely lost your damned MIND!?~ he thought to himself as he muttered darkly about adventurers.

A letter is delivered to Angela.

"Dear Angela,

You are a great example why our faith branched off from your own. You represent the willingness to act without the brain to act behind it and as such you have caused more problems then you would have, painbearer, if you had learnt to keep your mouth shut.

The Salandran Temple has been aware of this plague for a long time. Extensive research has gone into the plague whilst preventing mass panic across the isle.

Because you have proven you are a liability, we feel it is not in the Isle's best interests to share our research with you personally. The fact that you're willing to spark up complete panic speaks for itself.

My suggestion is to return your arse to Kohlingen and do the smart thing: alert your superiors and have your superiors work with our faith to find the cure.

Jack Galenson. Templar of Salandra."

I would advise everyone to show caution. A drow with both elven and human blood has been infected recently.

The original plague originated of wirmlings and could spread to drow due to a dragon disciple drow getting it.

It is possible that this drow may be the conduct the sickness needs to cross over to elves and humans.

Sir Galenson,

First of all, I am not used to such low types of words. So, please forgive me if I err on the interpretation. Second, I didn't think that words such as: The disease does not affect anyone but Drow, I need more people to help me with a research, I have found no cure but also I have not found anyone of other race but drow that is sick. I have also explained that I, a Human, a half elven and a tiefling have being in constant contact with a sick Drow and none of us have ever got the disease.

How can anyone be affraid of something they cannot get? I needed only that non Drow came to me with the disease, so I could prove to the Elves that I didn't lie. That they couldn't get the disease, and the only way I could guarantee 100% was by propagating the word and asking those of such races to contact me. Only one entered in contact with me, but never answered back and I think it is some Drow trick to put their hands on what I know.

I have also only propagate the word, when all around me seem to know about it, but all around me have these crazy theories of their own doing, that was more dangerous than if real knowledge about this disease were spread. My friends knights know well enough I asked for secrecy, where they ask to communicate the governments and protect the population. But, every one come to me with erroneous knowledge of their own.

Such as this note of Valas spreading fear where there is none. Humans and elves don't get the disease. I made a cut on my hand and a cut on the hand of the diseased he speaks about and I mix both bloodlines. I am not sick. I wont be sick and I am certain this wont reach humans and elves. Unless some elven diseased prove me wrong, I stand for that. I am willing to do all the sacrifices necessary to find knowledge. Because my Father don't want pain on this world. He is the painbearer so we don't have to.

I have in name of my Father, my Lord and my Master, Ilmater, endured more pain that I thought I could bare. All in order to find a cure, I have walked in my Father's path and I am a honorable and devoted person. I can hardly see why I deserve such words.

However, since I am not welcomed anymore in the Salandran Territory, I am returning to Kohlingen. My patient is out of the Quarantine, I thanks Ilmater for that. My second patient have yet to show any symptoms, but it is interesting on how mild it is on this one. I believe he will be cured soon as well.

I am still open to share my knowledge with you. In case you know any Drow who needs healing.

I am very sorry if I ever insulted you, your God or your home somehow.

May Ilmater bless you,
Angela Eire
Priestess of Ilmater.

Sir Valas,

why don't you avoid speaking when you know nothing? I proved you wrong once and I will prove you wrong this time. Your small and selfish person only aim to bring conflict, so somehow you become important. Your ego needs massage, you need to be right once. So, please protect yourself and only speak about that you know is true. On this case you know nothing, you have no proof, you have no knowledge on the matter and your words will only bring those already in fear to experience more fear.

Up to now, this disease is affecting Drow only. It may be that the disease will mutate one day and affect other blood lines. But, I guarantee that for now, the disease we are seen, this form of this disease does not affect other than Drow, on my experience of course. I may yet to be proved wrong.

*A determined young man in shining armor with a tabard bearing a prominent symbol of a large, steel gauntlet stares incredulously at the notices posted in Kohlingen. His breathing quickens and his jaws clinches in obvious ire as he searches his pack desperately for a piece of paper. He quickly scribes a response and attaches it ontop of the others.*

By Torm, I demand to know why an evil, accursed race is being treated like helpless little children! At least where I come from, legends speak of countless atrocities at the hands of the hateful & cruel dark-skinned elves. I say let them pray to their wicked goddess for salvation from their disease and watch justice be done as the drow fall to their sickness to pay for their endless sins against Humanity.

*she opens her mouth and close several times*

Sir Ashaller,

It is my Lord demand that mercy should be provided to all that seek for it. That extermination isn't our goal, but to help those who seek help. I have guarantees that my second patient is a good child, that had made the enormous sacrifice to contaminate himself in order to do a greater good. I have only the honor to stand on the side of this Drow. Torm himself ask for us to fight evil, but there is no evil on this child.

I cannot say no if you come to me and repent of your ways, and shows you can become a better person with guidance. Ilmater, Tyr and Torm dont turn their back on those they can save, they want Goodness to reign among humanity, elves, Drow and all the races of Faerun. The hard hand of Torm strikes those who are deserving, but he never strike with injustice.

Ilmater shall remove the pain of the world, so we can flourish, so we can be healthy and strong to exalt the Gods. Your words are words of cold revenge. Be ware of your own heart Sir.

The Eilistraee Drow is an example that on the race of Drow there is goodness. But, you never asked if the Drow was an Eilistraee or even a follower of our ways. There is in Kohlingen a honored Drow who follows Corellon. How can you judge so quick and so harshly?

May the love of the Triad help your endured heart and help you to see that goodness is like plants that grow in stone, it will search for the earth beneath it, a fertile soil and will plant there the seed that will flourish in a beautiful tree.

We only strike those who doesn't carry such fertile soil, and none of my patients were among those.

May Torm guide you better Sir,

Angela Eire

Having seen some of the messages posted on Cordor's noticeboards, and having heard that Reh'Cra was one of those infected, she requests that he not use the bath house until he has been free of symptoms for at least a week, citing the importance of protecting the many people of Cordor who use the facilities on a daily basis.

// included here only for informational purposes OOCly, eg. for DMs. This is not something that would be known to anyone ICly as Reh & Xavi were the only people present during the exchange who would have understood what was being said

Warrick quietly looks at the exchange of letters, then mutters as he writes the following to post up in at least Cordor and arranges to have dispatched to the Kohlingen temple, and the Salandran Temple.

Regarding this plague, it seems as though there is a great amount of disinformation and paranoia being spread about it.

As none have properly posted up information that would be useful, it is my proposal that elements of the Public Health and Welfare Ministry, the Salandran Temple, and the Triadic Knights (specifically Miss Eire) meet to discuss this matter with the intention of combining what information we may have on it, as well as assess the likelihood of this matter becoming more difficult then it already has become.

In future however, I humbly ask any public postings on this matter be brought through the Public Health and Welfare Ministry first, at least in Cordor's walls.

Clerk Christophan Warrick-Kenlyl,
Ministry of Health and Public Welfare
Commonwealth of Cordor

Note: Miss Eire, by posting about this information publically and in a fashion which does not show confidence in a cure, we create the potential for a great deal of alarm, something the Commonwealth of Cordor CANNOT and WILL NOT tolerate especially coming from external entities.

Sir Warrick,

I am ignorant, I am a fool, I dont know what I am doing. Therefore, there is no reason for us to meet. Your might self, so certain of yourself, can try and find a cure with the Salandrans.

From this point on, I will treat anyone that has the disease and need my help. But, I wont lose my time with politics. Yaston is the one good with that. I am just a humble temple woman that decided to do what was best.

I am sorry if I am being short on this matter, but I have had enough with insults. I have only one being in the world that I need to give explanations to, and that is my God.

If you want communicate with Yaston, please do so. But, keep me out of the politics in that matter.

And yes I posted asking for non drow to come to me and people willing to help me with research. I didn't spread any fear. I have as well said I have not seen anyone other than Drow with the disease. Therefore, it could make people of those races breathe relieved.
