How many of you have been accosted by the roads? How many of you have been physically stopped, forced to listen to the demands of armed strangers? How many of you have had your carts blocked, your drivers forced to fearfully wait, while vicious looking men stripped through your belongings? How many of you have been made victims, for the simple reason that you were traveling on business or on pleasure? How many of you have been hauled up at a checkpoint while going home? How many times have these vicious animals not been brigands or bandits, but monsters who call themselves knights and holy warriors, and hide beside their religion while eventually glorifying the Lord of Tyranny? Where have the freedoms of the road gone, when men were once safe to travel unaccosted and safe from harm? Who are these knights who claim their doubtful authority from silent gods? Why should we have to suffer the indignity and fear of arrest, torture and persecutions? When will someone make our roads truly safe again, for all travelers great and small? These little men call themselves Knights. I call them Tyrants. These little men claim they pray to goodly gods. I say their actions glorify Bane. These little men claim they fight for you. I call them noble scum, who fight only for their narrow beliefs. These men are nothing but NOBLES. NOBLES who do nothing but FORCE THEIR BELIEFS ON OTHERS. Cordor does not need men like these. Amia does not need men like these. The roads, and trade, and the free men of Amia, do not need men like these. Roadwardens, Roadwardens, where are you now? On one of her infrequent trips to Kampo's warehouse, Elisabeth Hayes sees one of the notes. As usual, over her armor she is wearing a tabard bearing the colors of the Triadic Knights. Seemingly without irony she remarks, "I certainly hope whoever those false knights are, someone stops them. I should tell the others to be on the alert for brigands in cow costumes impersonating servants of goodly gods." |

If only we could get the heathens to admit their actions glorify the Tenets of he Black Hand...A true pity some of His tyranny is being attributed to Torm, Tyr, and Lathander. |

Rosalinde also sees one of these notices. She is also clad in platemail with the tabard of the Knights laying over it, and she shakes her head in irritation as she looks down upon the paper. Hmph. More trash from fools who beg not to be judged and yet judge the Knights in kind, as if we are all members of the Blake family. With that thought, the very tall woman marches off, leaving the notice where it lie. No doubt the wind or rain will come and ruin what has been posted soon enough. |
