Greetings, Amia!

I have a pretty blue and scarlet ioun stone gem. Are there others like it? Are they valuable? Do people look for them or buy them? I've never seen anything like it and I'm very curious about it! Send a message to me through Speedies!

Zelly

*a message returns*

An Ioun stone you say?

yes, they are very rare. few of them ever surface at one time, and it would
be a rare thing to have more then one in any single place.

Yes, they are valuable. Many would offer a great fortune for such a trinket,
some of them more then others, and only to the right person or persons.

Yes, there are more then one type, and as such they are varied in effects,
however they interfere with each others powers when kept in close proximity,
and only work one at a time.

I hope this helps you, and if you wish to know more i can be found via the
same channels.

She's wrong. They're useless, I'll do you a favor and give you a few thousand for it. Just so you don't have to be seen with one we can do the deal nice and quickly.

Zelly:

They're very very valuable, yea. There are many different kinds of these things and they are very much sought after.

I, Domovoi the great, would gladly shower you with gold and magical items for a trade of a pale blue ioun stone, yea. Can you determine if the stone you have is just a normal color of blue or is it somewhat pale?

Domovoi

P.S. If you are a lady, would you like to have dinner with me?

Domovoi,

I said it's scarlet and blue, silly. It's not pale at all. It's both colors, sometimes. It clears your mind and helps you think straight! Not that I need such enhancements! I'm the epitome of mental control.

Respectfully yours,
Zelly

P.S. I am a lady, yes, but I don't think you'd like to have dinner with me. I'm not very pretty.

// Int +2 Ioun.

Vaelmith, on reading the Ioun Query ponders before penning a brief reply to Zelly.

I'll gladly give you the gems I have remaining as well as several chunks of gem ore which if you wish I can also work on having refined for you.

- Vaelmith Starshower.

After sending the reply, he seems to ponder quietly.

Five hundred thousand is such a paltry sum for such a stone. I would gladly pay you One million in gold, plus a healthy supply of paper that you may comprise any and all academic ideas! If this catches your fancy then leave word for Rylhrae the eloquent swordsmen, through the speedy service of messengers!

Regards and good business

Rylhrae

Miss Zelly, I would like to offer 2.5 million in coin and a vast quantity of metal which may be used for golem and artifact construction.

Once again nearly dtipping over her awkwardly-fitting new boots, she swiftly posts up the messages publicly so that others can see it.

I think I might sell it, then. In the spirit of traders I have met on this isle, I'll leave it up for a few days and see where it takes us. Bid away! Unless of course Prescia's is the last bid. Then don't bid!

Respectfully,
Zelly

Miss Zelly,

I would like to offer a treasure far greater then any of these could hope to
match, you have already had a taste and that is but a fraction of what i can offer.

What better gift to a hungry mind, hmm?
Seek me out, if this pleases you. We have much to discuss.
