Image

A Tournament for the non-arcane ((any class but Sorcerers and Wizards)) will be held in the Cordor Arena on ((Saturday 14, 6:00PM CST)). Participants must pay a fee of 15 gold to sign up and must do so before ((Thursday 12)) by speaking to Vel'duran Ste'tnelin *a nicely detailed drawing of the man is at the bottom of the poster for reference*. Spectators may pay a fee of 20 gold at the door or may pay sooner.

The Tournament will have two teirs: Junior Competition((lvls11-20)), and Senior Competition((21-30)). The Junior Champion will earn a prize of 100,000 gold. And the Grand Champion will win a Flawless Mythal!

Combatants may decide upon their own set of rules before the match. However, the True Strike Potion and the Time Stop Spell are strictly forbidden as well as ANY casting within the spectator stands! Any violation of the rule will warrent immediate disqualification and the violator will be removed from the building (by force if needed).

Any poor sportsmanship, fighting outside the ring, or casting outside the ring will warrent disqualification. One need not be present during fights that do not involve them, but as soon as one's name is called for the ring, one must be present or disqualification will take place and the absentee's opponent will be moved up on the bracket to await the next fight.

Note was sent to the proprieter of the tournament

Dear sir,
As of most i am not that of a full spell caster i do not use my spells but i would like to know about the specific ruling on the fact of a person that is Half-Dead entering this?
I know that is a weird question for most to ask but it would be great to state it. Abilities would be nice as well but that was considered in the rules that the combatments lay down before they begain. Thank you for reading this letter and clarifiying anything that would need to be clarified.
Though i do regret that i will not be joining because of other priority but maybe for those that was of that time for clearity.

Sign,
Dberaitnhger Koravth

*note is sealed in Wax wtih his symble on it of Korath clan and Scythe over it*

Any one of any race may join the tournament (given you can make it into Cordor). If a mage wishes to join, he is free to do so but is limited to using weapons rather than arcane magicks. Any questions about rules may be asked on the day of the tournament, in passing, or via letter ((PM)). However, do note that signing up must be done in person.

What time it is on the 14th day at GMT?

CST = -5h to GMT?

So as im +2 GMT it would be CST + 7 h to me?

6 pm = 18:00 ( + 7h = 01:00)

*sigh* I most likely will sleep, as it is 1 AM on monday to me :SS

//-6 is CST, EST is -5.

You have the calculations right, except that it would be 1am on a sunday, not monday. The 14th is next saturday.

//Ok, so I postponed the tournament one day because one person that's helping me with it works on the 14th, and then I heard that the server is having down time on the 15th. Sssssooo...Its on the 16th, sorry if anyone that already signed up can't make it, come to me in the usual spot in the Cordor square and ask for a refund. Those failing to get a refund before the tournament, will not receive one. That's right, I have the decency to make my fine print big!

//In a very frustrating and disappointing matter of fact, I must call the tournament for RL reasons. Anyone wishing for a refund, please track me down and I will double what you paid me. I'm very sorry for the inconvenience.

//tournaments like this produce hellish lag conditions coz everyone flocks to the same area.

That being said, if you guys run this type of thing at a later date, good luck. Make sure there's a DM online to dispell the spectators to help reduce the lag amounts.
