Perhaps no nonelf can conceive the elaborate beauty of Meldrium and Qirlans conception of Elven pride. Or, perhaps the pair are grinding elven pride into the dust...

My words of advice are. “Choose your enemies wisely, for you shall become like them”. Actions like killing children are why we hate shadow dragons, it’s a pity to see elves acting similarly.

Winya is not a good city. Its self defined purpose is to protect elves. I can see how the action discussed here protected elves. The child might grow to be a threat to elves and within this limited morality the killing can be understood. Consider Meldriums support, and Gael'Ean Kille'Raheal’s. Both on the basis that the killing protected the lives of elves. This is their concern.

I feel compelled to enter a small moral discussion.

In the case of a truly evil child, the evil in its heart does not change the fact that it is disempowered. Consider the ramifications of disempowerment.

Evil is evil because it causes suffering. At a young age a child can cause no suffering. When it reaches such an age that it is capable of causing suffering, it will be identified and dealt with then. Until that point it might enjoy a childhood. A window of comparative innocence. Lathander would say… a chance for change. A chance offered by its disempowered state, and impressionability common to all young.

As it ages it will become set in viewpoint and become capable of causing harm. Our first goal should be to disempower it. On Amia killing achieves little, resurrection is cheap. But killing and harassing perpetrators distracts and disempowers them from causing harm. That leads to a net movement towards peace and order. Without wisdom and consideration, heroes become vigilantes and our whole world falls to samsara.

As it is known the child is not evil, and by my above argument the killing as it was done would not be moral nor ethical even if it were. The Dawnguard support this petition, and further, I will express a personal opinion

Qirlan, you are scum, and your head should rest on a pike. I pray your brethren in Winya perceive your callousness as the madness it is.
