In Search Of The Masters

Greetings, I am a recent arrival to the island in search of a master bard to assist me in honing my skills. I focus primarily on the art of the Dirge Singing but I believe narrowing myself down to one specific speciality will hinder my chances at becoming renown for anything beyond serenading the dead.

I am eager to learn any art offered, a little variety will do me good. My instrument of choice is the violin, but I am an astute lute player when the drinks get flowing in the local taverns.

I try to be open minded with the cosmopolitan society Amia boasts so I have no problems learning from any of the numerable races that frequent this place.

Missives addressed to 'Faezar' left at the Nomad or Halifasts Lodge will find me,

Kind regards.

A letter is delivered to Faezar:

CHARTER of the HERALDS OF TRIUMVIR

The Heralds of Triumvir are an organisation based on the Demiplane of Song with the following goals:
1. To organise, create and hold our own performances and artistry whenever and wherever possible, and to support and encourage perfomers and artists troughout the realms, so that all may know and enjoy the many different arts.

2. To create, gather and store traditional bardic lore; songs and tales, history, politics, lore on particular heroes and villains and magical artifacts, etc.

3. To explore and map every corner of the realms we may find, and support travellers, explorers and caravaners as we go, so that the many hidden and beautiful places of the realms may be found.

The Heralds of Triumvir have a loose organisation, with no set ranks but that of the overall leader and administrator, who is most commonly known as the Prince of the Heralds of Triumvir, though this title is prone to change according to the preference and whim of the invidual in question. Others may hold specific titles representing their responsibilities, which may include oversight over happenings in a specific region, a specific field of lore or a specific long-term goal.

Aspirant Heralds need to seek out a recognized Herald for sponsorship and mentorship. This mentor is responsible for presenting the aspirant to the Prince, overseeing their training and ensuring that the aspirant is aware and knowledgeable of the traditions and goals of the Heralds. When both the mentor and Prince deem that aspirant has proven to be a worthy and capable member, he or she will officially be recognized as a Herald and given all the priviledges and duties, including training new Aspirants, of true Heralds. All Aspirants should display skill at at least one form of performance art, as well as a good general knowledge of Amia and the surrounding islands before expecting to be Recognized.

"I'm sure we can help you out. Find me or Kurchin with any of your questions.

Triumvir's Blessing,

Elorathall."
