A package would be delivered to the Vaughin residence of Kohl, addressed to Ulrik Valis and company.

The moment the package would be opened the foul smell of rot and death would erupt outwards. Inside there would be a large copper wing covered in blood and it would appear to of been torn from its owners back with pure force. A letter would rest ontop of the wing, stained slightly with blood, addressing Ulrik.

"Her flesh is so delightfully fun to chew on... and her blood is some of the richest draconic concentration i've ever had the pleasure of tasting. If you wish to see Zelly prepare the majority of the gold she acquired during her very "successful" fundraiser and wait for further instructions... the longer you take the more body parts you will receive."

*The package appears to have been taken in by the residents of the Vaughn estate.*

An armor clad woman speaks with the guards and other militia of Kohlingen near the Vaughn residence, questioning if they bore witness of who or what delivered the package.

Shortly after, she makes her way to the couriers, the same question on her lips.

In response to the woman's queries:

The guards would say they recall seeing a couple of local "street rat" type of kids (aged about ten and thirteen, both boys) hanging around the house near the time the package was delivered. They then ask if there's a problem, and if so, suggest a report is filed so that an investigation into the matter can be initiated.

The couriers and mail clerks have no knowledge of the package at all.

The lead on the urchins is promptly followed in preference over the couriers. On her way to find the adolescents, she fills a bag with purchased food from the vendors and arms another pouch with coin.

Some hours later, as the warrant for a murderer spreads throughout Kohlingen, two women depart by ferry.

Even more hours after the departure of the two women, a battered and bandaged copper-kin rests in a room at Kohlingen Keep. And true to his word, an exhausted magician dozes in a chair just nearby.

Lady Vaughn is seen the next day working to hire a few house guards.

The copper kin known as Zelly is seen outside the walls of the Keep, resting under a tree and surrounded by flowers. She seems reluctant to move from this spot, and she holds a bag in her uninjured arm. The other is held in a sling and both of her wings are bandaged heavily. She doesn't speak much and doesn't seem to eat much more.

Lady Emma would sit with the copper dragon-kin silently for some time out on the favored bench. It seems she just offers silent support, though she respects the mood and personal space of Zelly. She'd proffer a comforting pat, if such were allowed; if not, she merely sits by her side for a time, in a silent acknowledgement of what seems to Emma's mind to be a mantra to the survivors of the Monolith's loss: "I am here." After a long passage of time-- perhaps an hour or two, as the day stretches out-- Emma makes a nod with a kind expression upon her face, and leaves the dragonkin to her own thoughts, and hopefully, her full recovery.

//Edit: I'll be on tonight too//

In his rest and meditation over the next day, Tuomas quietly makes sure to spend some time by Zelly's side seeing how she's doing.

((I'll be on 10:00 PM Eastern tonight-ish))

She's weak, but seems very adamant about staying near the flowers. She talks to her fellows of the Monolith, though they're the only ones she really feels comfortable with, aside from a few others should they come see her. She's very weary and tends to fall in and out of consciousness. A new guardian seems to be with her now, though, the familiar pseudodragon Anla'braxas.

// I won't be home from work tonight until after Midnight, EST. I'll have to catch some of you later!

Ulrik spends time in the morning following Zelly's rescue in the company of the recovering copper-kin. The two speak quietly for a while, and it appears he leaves her in a better mood than he found her. Held tight in her arms is a content Anla'braxas, who takes his role as something to be held very seriously. Perhaps it is better than what he would be doing, otherwise. Either way, 'Braxy seems to be a happily chatty companion to the copper-kin throughout the day. That is, when she is not sleeping.

A trio of friends step into the Temple of the Triad: a mustached mage, a red-headed noble woman, and a battered copper kin with an arm in a sling. For a time, the surgery room is occupied.

A time later, a dark-haired gypsy girl pads through Cordor, eyes intently scanning the shadows. Whatever she's looking for is known only to herself.....

Screams of agony follow the sickening crack of bones. A cot lies destroyed as a weeping, exhausted copper kin is led out of the surgical room with the help of her two friends, a new sling given to her right arm.
