A somewhat tired appearing green garbed magus stepped into the building. He leaned on his staff a bit more these past few days than usual. His hood was drawn back, revealing the salt-n-pepper strands of hair which hang in a typical uniform-length cut which comes down to his cheeks. Speckled dark brown with gray, perhaps once upon a time it was black were one to speculate by the streaks in his eyebrows. Well shaven, a set of mithril rimmed spectacles rest on his nose. He speaks with diction, though every letter of each word was given inflection, stress and vocalization, even typically 'silent' vowels. A hand rose in greeting, it wrapped in a glove of ivory-cream cloth with dark green vine and leaf shaped embroidery.
"Good morning Clerk Franton. I am Sulluluthirilon d'Tralio Praxtor Ten-Mentaki, though most simply call me 'Sul' or my surname, Mentaki. Some tendays ago I applied for citizenship in preparation for a possible departure from the Monolith of Mystra. I understand that large wheels turn slowly, and after a conversation with Guard Captain Nevaeh Tarvencia, and Minister Xee in the past tenday, I was directed to you here." He gave an amicable smile.
"I am a rather accomplished Wizard, and during my former time in the Halruaan Empire, a dedicated researcher.. most recently I have begun studying Ley-Lines and ... oh? Right, of course.. I had been wishing to join the Commonwealth as a citizen, to lend what aid and knowledge I could to the fellows here. The powers that be at the Monolith are too close minded of thought, too dogmatic and do not have the right interests at heart. I had hoped to be an asset to the Commonwealth, and aid in service in the Ministry of Magic, and possibly even help form or guide arcane education one day, here. With the Monolith as the lone institute responsible for the next generation of Arcanists from the Commonwealth... I am most concerned. Religious indoctrination and the study of Magic are antithetical in my opinion. There was too much at odds in those principles... to that end there are rather inconsolable differences between the membership's methodologies and what I feel is the proper behavior for an institution of learning, study, and advancement of the Art. I will say it was a -most- satisfying departure, the only thing I wish could have gone better is that I could have liberated more properly thinking men from their idolatry."
"..Oh.. yes.. I am currently staying in one of the spare rooms in the Western-most Hostel in West Cordor. I had simply wished to check on the status of my examination. I tend to spend most fair-weather days in that lovely cafe across from the temple of Waukeen reading over notes and arcana over tea."
