A new patient has turned up in the Salandran recovery ward. Still clad in portions of the armor he wore when he brought in, the big man lies breathing shallowly but completely cut off from the world, the scales on his face and arms dully shining a worn violet and blue. His skin is an unhealthy pale color and he sweats now and then. Occasionally he twitches or contorts his face as if in pain, but he never seems to rouse.

Taelar lives, but he is lost in dreams.

A certain raven-haired tiefling can be seen sitting with the patient, day in and day out. The first thing she does upon arrival is to carefully remove his armor so that he can "rest" more comfortably. When he breaks out into a sweat, she gently pats down his face and neck with a cool, damp cloth, then continues to bathe the rest of him from there. She murmurs softly to him various reassurances in both the common tongue and Infernal, especially in times when he seems to be in pain or discomfort.

Her caring for the unconscious, blue-haired tiefling is so intent that she often has to be reminded to take care of herself, as well. She often forgets (or refuses) to eat, and only when utterly exhausted does she even consider sleep, at which point she requests a bed be pushed next to his for her to sleep on, always insisting on being by his side at all times. Upon rising once more, she would see to his comfort again, then take only the most miniscule amount of time needed to bathe herself before tending to him once more.

Despite the constant care, the patients condition slowly deteriorates, as lack of movement and solid food begin taking their slow but inexorable toll. He seems to fidget more than initially, but has yet to be roused. Anyone who takes his vitals would discover that his breathing and heart rate are rather high, given that he is not actually engaged in any physical activity.

Trentin dons his temple robes and prepares a tray full of tools and various concoctions. He then picks up some soup from the kitchen and heads into the recover ward. Nodding to the woman Trentin places the tray on the table by the mans bed. He moves the soup to the far corner of the tray so the woman can take or leave it as she pleases.

"How is he doing?" Trentin whispers, as he arranges his acoutrements in the order he intends to use them. He performs as complete an examination as he can while the man is unconscious, and then begins mixing some fluids with ground up herbs and chemicals to try and get some nourishment into him.

Any attempts to get nourishment into him in a form that is solid don't really work, but any liquid form he would take. It would mitigate the deterioration some but not completely, liquid food not being a good replacement for a mostly solid diet.

After a deal of examination and experimenting with magical treatment, Taelar seems to have recovered. While still confined to the temple until he's managed to get a bit more rest, he seems fully alert and awake, when he's not sleeping of course.
