Skald Event by the People of MaeduseldeThe People of Maeduselde welcome all to a gathering of fellow kin. We wish to hear your tales and songs of courage and adventure! Warriors, Skalds, Runesingers and Shamans are all invited. Lord Hallstein Ovind and his wife the Lady Hedinfrid Ovind will be our hosts. And feel free to help yourselves to a horn of the lords famous mead too!
Help unite our people, the wanderers of Amia's isles, fellow barbarians and people of the frozen north, we have all spread across Toril, divided, but now we have a place in the Skull Crags, a great hall for merry making and a home for farmers and hunters alike. "We are proud and willful, but we are true-hearted, generous in thought and deed; bold but not cruel; wise but unlearned, writing no books but singing many songs."
We are planning to hold the event soon. Check the Public Message Boards, or with I, Greta Solveig, for details. - This Announcement was written on behalf of Greta Solveig, proud resident of The People of Maeduselde.// Time and day of the event is still pending, depending on the response to this ad, and when people are available for roleplay. // Think of this as like a typical storytelling event. I'll be the host, but I'd hopefully like some DM participation as well to control any of the interesting NPCs that are found in the Skull Crags: Wilderness Camp Interior. This is an experiment to see how popular we can make this locale, hopefully draw some attention to the camp and gather as many barbarian-like characters here. //The Preferred participants must be Human and have these classes: Barbarian (Warrior), Bard (Skald, Runesinger), Cleric (Shaman), Druid (Shaman), Fighter (Warrior), Ranger (Warrior). // For more infomation on the Skull Crags: Wilderness Camp, check out this thread here.

// Bumping the thread, seeing as the event is drawing ever closer. Sunday 23rd May, time still pending depending on what you guys/gals that reply to this thread think is a good time for all.
// I know my brother Ryan is interested and available, and several people are interested via PM, like Uncle_Opustus and Phearnun.

// I love to see events that doesn't have to do with factions and war. I think I'll be busy that day but even so, I don't think Madrik would attend. Hope to see more people do this though.

Ragnarus reads the poster.
Barbarians? About time I get to meet my fellow Kin.
He makes a note about it and walks off.
// I'm up for this, as long as it stays GMT friendly as it's a Sunday.

// Another reminder that we'll be holding the Skald/Storytelling Event today. As soon as I've confirmed a time I'll post it here. I'll also try and get ahold of a DM to help announce it in-game, like it used to be done with the Amia Forest Story Event.

// Its a one-off for now. But i'd love to do it again if its a success to encourage more roleplay here. There's no reason why it shouldn't continue (maybe on another day weekly) we have slightly different storytelling here because its race and class specific.
// On a related note, are there any sign makers who can get online? Greta will pay handsomely for the sign. I'd love to have a sign ready to drop down in Cordor to help get some more attention for this event. I might for for around 6pm GMT.

// Well looks like it never got enough interest. No one queried about the event at the time and day given and no one showed up. I guess I'll need to spend more time trying to help get some attention for this planned event. I've already made a new sign that I'll use to advertise the event in the cities, and I also plan to have the town criers shout out a message too.

//I want to try and arrange this event again sometime. The last one got zero attendance, mainly because of my lack of experience in properly advertising this. I figure only a certain percentage read the notices here on the forums, so i've also managed to make a sign in game that I can use in Cordor Square and other places to advertise the event.
//But a time and date is still not set. I'd love to get a DMs approval and participation too. I liked the Singing Sun tavern event that was held yesterday. A DM was kind enough to do a shout out that it was happening. Maybe I should ask for that kind of her help too.
