*Wanted Posters are left in the following locations: Cordor, Kohlingen, Wharftown, The Grove, The Shrine, Winya Ravana, Barak Runedar, Kampos, Shadowscape, Endir’s Point, and Ne’sek.

Wanted: Lorna
Description: Red Haired Hin-shaped beastling. Shapeshifter, Mass Murderer, and Malarite menace.

The subject is the most vile recidivist criminal to tread upon lives of innocents in many a year. Her crimes are well known and she commits them without a shred of hesitation or remorse. Attempts to parley with her will most likely result in your untimely demise. You have been warned. Know your prey as she is an expert in various forms of shiftery offense and defense.

Conditions:
1) The subject may be killed in any location but the Bounty is only collectable upon the Death of the subject and delivery of the remains to Bendir Dale Townhall. Failure to deliver is to forfeit the Bounty.

2) Killing the subject in Bendir Dale requires a Militia member be present to observe and record the deed. We accept no lone vigilantes or pitchfork wielding mobs upon our lands.

3) Killing the subject elsewhere leaves the Bounty Hunter subject to the laws governing said lands, assuming they are not lawless. Pursuing and slaying this individual, as righteous and justified as it surely is, does not shield the Bounty Hunter from prosecution under local laws if they are broken during the course of this action. The risk taken is yours, and yours alone.

4) Only the individual striking the killing blow collects the bounty. If groups wish to make arrangements to share in the profit that’s between them and we shall not mediate any disputes arising from said agreements. In the absence of a Bendir Dale Militia witness, it shall be assumed the individual delivering the corpse struck the killing blow.

5) No Individual banned in Bendir Dale, or a member of any group banned in Bendir Dale may collect the bounty.

The Bounty:
A very large and heavy Mythal described by appraisers as having a most “Perfect” crystalline structure.

Duration:
The Bounty shall remain in force until the Death of the subject or one calendar year, whichever is shorter.

Mayor Missus - Bendir Dale

::A curtain elf, wearing simple common garments would take a notice, and tuck it away in a bag before raising the hood of his cloak higher. the illumination of a floating stone by his side would guide his path as he left the town::

Heuctor take some notes about the criminal in a worn brown leather book.

He aslo left a note in Bendir adressed to Mayor Missus:

«Dear Bendir Folks,

I, Heuctor Guerruet,

Son of Heuctor Guerret, vigilante and follower of Tyr, will be honored to track down this criminal for you and bring it's corpse in Bendir. Justice will be done.

You may find me in Nomad's in Cordor if you want to contact me,

Best regards.

H.G.

When, or if any of the aforementioned bounty notices find themselves in Winya Ravana, they summarily disappear by some unseen manner, without any kind of a response left in their stead.

One such poster would find its way into the roughly made satchel of a certain red haired halfling.

*A letter is left in the Dale with the body of Lorna*

"Mayor Missus,

Here is one Lorna, as asked. She was accosted South of the Dale with another mage, and both were slain in the combat. You can deliver the stone to me at your most convenient time."

Citizens of Bendir Dale,
A catastrophe has transpired. The dire criminal Lorna has escaped our grasp and is on the loose once again. I offered a Bounty, paid for out of town coffers and of substantial value, for the killing of this mass murderer who has tormented our township for many weeks. The Bounty shall be paid as the body was delivered and we keep our word, but we have nothing but empty hands to show for it due to the near-criminal fecklessness of some and the naivete of others. The bottom line is - I’ve failed you.

The Hin known around the Dale as Libba, the same one previously banned and then re-instated, played a key role in the debacle. Having utter disregard for my orders, he cast a Raise Dead scroll on the criminals body rather than leave it as a corpse as instructed. He allowed Lorna to speak freely and somehow came under her sway. Secondly, he disregarded my instructions to leave the criminals body in the Townhall and instead moved it to an unguarded wagon on the far north end of town. I initially did not understand the significance of both of these actions, until later events revealed the very “convenient” nature of them in facilitating Lorna’s escape.

He seems to believe that Lorna can be redeemed merely because she was born a Hin. He says things to her like “swear to me as a Hin” as if the common bonds of the race are so strong that such a vow is ironclad in the face of Malarite evil. He asks me to gives her a second chance (it would actually be her fourth or fifth), to speak with her in a mentoring and kindly way so she’ll see right from wrong. All the while I’m telling him I’ve already done those things and the result has been a continued crime spree. But still the density of his skull prevails. He also seems to think her actions of recent months are simply some sort of political protest gone wrong. In retrospect, I should have realized he couldn’t be trusted to walk my dog, to say nothing of taking charge of an important duty. My naivete about his nature is worthy of punishment.

So what happened? I returned to town to hear that Libba had “taken charge” of the corpse after delivery by the bounty hunters. I located him in the wagon as noted after searching elsewhere in town. In the wagon we were ambushed by a single individual who incapacitated all three of us, (Libba, Sadie, and myself) and made off with Lorna to Underport. Libba managed to follow and released her to her freedom. I witnessed this disgusting display of fecklessness from the shadows, but seeing that I was outnumbered by Lorna, her taller accomplice, Libba (now evidently sympathetic to her), and some foul mind flayers, I took no action but to record the outcome of these events.

Some of you may be inclined to forgive me this failure, but I cannot forgive myself.

I will be, as a result of this, issuing punishments for both Libba and myself. Sadie is not being issued a punishment as I believe she was merely observing and attempting to aid in this situation.

Were Libba’s actions criminal? Perhaps, but I’m leaning towards either stupidity or willful blindness. I still think he thinks he has the Dales best interests at heart, despite his obviously warped sensibilities. Libba is hereby banned from ever holding a weapon of any kind upon Dale lands. He’s not fit to hold scissors and walk, much less a sword given the poor judgment he’s displayed. He certainly cannot be trusted to defend the Dale, as the nature of an individuals heritage seems to be his only criteria for taking action, rather than inconvenient things like facts, evidence, and laws. No responsibility of any kind shall be placed upon him. Militia are advised to actively distance themselves from Libba in daily dealings, we don’t know if his fecklessness is contagious.

As for myself, I am banning myself from Bendir Dale for a period of one month for my role in this debacle. Refer questions of town management to General Nof in my absence. Those looking to locate me for a social visit will find me in the hidden cave in Amia Forest as I’ll be camping out with my friend Boidoc the helmet merchant, while I clear my head and reflect on my manifest failure in this incident.

Mayor Missus

Missus;

Owing to Lorna's continued freedom, I -highly- recommend you enjoy the hospitality of the Shrine. You have trusted in us and shown us kindness. Allow us to extend the same to you in this, your time of need, and you may find protection from this psychopath and her followers.

Aly'dra

This is left in Bendir, and a copy is brought to the cave in the Forest, just in case.

Miss Mayor Missus,

I have spoke to General Nof and decided to collect Lorna's bounty on the townships behalf again.

Please do not live in this cave. Bendir Dale needs a mayor, which is you. Nof would like you to return to Bendir Dale and un-ban yourself and re-elect yourself, as Mayor.

Sincerely,

Samrael Cymere

*A note left below the Mayors*

Quote:
My Dear beloved Neighbors and Citizens of the Bendir Dale Homefront,

I don't deny one bit of the Mayors recent message to you all.
Not one! Well.... there are a few glaring omissions and a slight bending of a few facts but never let that get in the way of a good story!
I did raise Lorna but I spoke with her and brokered an agreement rather than let this senseless killing continue.

I bring you grand news my dear friends, lovers and well-wishers.
The one known as Lorna won't be troubling us anymore.
That she has agreed to stay away from Bendir Dale lands. She has given me her word she won't come back and has honored that thus far.

I belive that this agreement is a much better option for us all.
What's to say she wasn't going to be released by the druids, and you all know how easily people seem to come back from the dead around here. All it would take would be some Malar Priestess and a strand of hair.

Sure...
- The Mayor and others do not get their vengeance on this small hin-girl.
- The Bounty hunters, cut-throats and other less than savory people do not get their coin reward.
- I can no longer handle my pig-sticker in Bendir Dale. I'm sure people will be pleased with that. It's been a whole week since I've stabbed a Kob.

But that's a small price to pay for a easy-nights sleep and the assurance that we'll be left alone.
These things were worth sacrificing for our safety.

We need to put aside ego's and vengeance and do what's best for everyone's safety.

- Libba Littlefoot.

On behalf of Provisional Mayor General Nof,

The following decree was decided:

(1)The bounty of Lorna is now lifted. Any bounty hunters in the aforementioned hunt will now not continue on behalf of Bendir Dale or her people. (2) Lorna is banned from the township, and will not trespass on Bendir Dale territory under penalty of death, including (3) using Bendir Dale's ox carts as a cart transfer point at any time. (4) On the matter of Libba, no further punishments will be given that were not previously reprimanded by exiled Mayor Missus at the time of her confrontation.

*Dictated but not written.
