It would appear something has roused Irae'arra D'Tsab from her usual studies or time with her son. To be specific, a pair of spells, one to locate a person, the next to locate a specific possession...a highly enchanted ring....are fired off in Tarkuul.

A moment after the images are complete, the former headmistress-turned-recluse storms out of the Living City in a burst of wards and choice Drow curses.

An hour or two later, a very soggy Magus and a small bag of body parts turn up in Uhm and retire to the vacant home of Aisling and Vincent Blake. Tucking the body parts away safely, she fires off a total of four Sending spells. Barely contained rage colours the spells, as the normally passionate woman reaches her limits. The spells go to:
Erelkacha Kenlyl
Sabune Kenlyl
Jud'Vardas Kenlyl
Yudann Am'Anodel
and they contain the following information, along with a ghostly image to give her identity.
Niss'assa has been slain. I located his body. Come to Uhm and raise him, allow me to locate his killer.
It's unmistakeably hers, and the promise of vengeance hangs heavy.
Should they respond, they will find Irae'arra, clutching Niss'assa's signet, beside herself with wrath. The signet is placed gently back with his corpse...or what remains of it...and left with them as she turns to trying to locate whoever did him in.

Should they -not- respond? Only time will tell.

(Open for player responses, posted with permission of Niss' player)

Grimly Erelkacha has one of the Shrines arcane casters respond with a reply of. "I will be there with a resurrection spell as soon as possible"

A simple acceptance is returned, and Irae remains in Uhm for the time being, waiting. Her countenance is icy, but the flames of fury are not far from the surface. She speaks to the corpse bits lovingly, promising her lover a return to life, and the sweet fire of revenge, whispering to him of secrets to be revealed, and only hoping his spirit will respond to another where she knows her own call will fail.

(Will catch Katcha IG tonight or tomorrow or as soon as you're on thereabout!)

Soon enough Niss is returned by Yuddan to the Shrine where his remains are resurrected.

A letter follows...

Following the threats of Yudann Am'Anodel to murder my infant son, Ka'lian Lakil, Fully Quessir child of Ilterendil Lakil and myself, I demand satisfaction. If it is now the way of Eilistraee to murder babes, so be it, but let it be known that any I see approaching my self or my son, and any that are detected through arcane means, are considered at this time to be following through on Yudann's threat, and thus are forfeit and to be slain on sight.

Yudann has declared war for the Shrine, I will give this ONE opportunity for you to rebuke those that would harm the innocent. Prove you are what you say you are.

Irae'arra D'Tsab

The letter was quickly read and with a snicker the high priestess could be be heard
"Take the word of a bitch who betrayed our faith for Kiaraenelee over Yuddan? Yeah right"

With no response incoming, copies of the letter are also sent to Voronwer Amakiir and the Shrine of Shevarash.

Sheeva receives the letter at the Shrine of Shevarash, and stares at it for a few moments as if baffled. She reads it over at least three times before copying it, folding her copy neatly up, and tucking it away. She leaves the original at the shrine before departing swiftly- any who see her might notice a spark of rage in her aqua eyes.

Eventually, a reply is tucked up under Irae'arra D'Tsab's note- as there was no means listed to contact her in return, Sheeva simply hopes it will find its way to her.

Irae'arra D'Tsab,

If what you say is true, then your child must be protected at all costs. I am Sheeva of house Amarillis, and a ranger of Shevarash. I would like to meet with you on neutral ground somewhere to discuss this matter with you. If possible, I'd like to see your infant son with my own eyes. For this reason, you may pick the location. Somewhere that you feel is safe, preferably with guards, would do. I may be contacted at Winya in the Amarillis treehouse.

Sheeva Amarillis
*The Amarillis symbol, a green dolphin, is stamped next to the name.*

A tall red headed elf enters the Shrine of Shevarash on one of his weekly patrols and finds the note. He reads it idly while repairing the finish on his old bow and his expression grows from mild curiosity to a hard fury.

After a few minutes of thought, he tucks the note into a pocket, and utters a few choice vulgar comments. "Now to find out exactly how an Ilythiiri managed to get a note into a holy place of Shevarash. May Corellon have mercy for the elf who aids an enemy of the people...", as he stomps off in search of the hapless messenger.

Tialis read the note as she returned to the Shrine after some time away. Pulling the dirt-stained scarf off, she smirked. Need to let the spiders eat each other.
With that she placed an arrow before the idol of Shevarash and lit the candles, slipping to her knees and closing her eyes in meditation, tiredly.

Time, as it always does, passes. The magus does not again leave Tarkuul, and in amongst the bones and dust, a tiny speck of light shines. A nursery, swathed in deep blues and greens, with little stuffed dragons on a railed toddler's bed, and a blanket embroidered with stars and a blazing Mystran symbol cover a new addition, a crib. Irae, for her part, simply waits, giving the messengers of the City that Lives notice that any correspondances from Winya are of the highest priority, and must be relayed immediately.

The halls of the Living City ring with a child's voice, in laughter and occasionally tears as the littlest hostage keeps time with his mother.

"Webs within webs, my darling. Lolth is not the only spider queen, is she?"

Later, after the almost-toddler sleeps, runners are dispatched to the Underdark....
