The familiar red glow and dissonant tones of the portal slowly fade, leaving in it's wake a bulky misshapen man. He glances about himself languidly before shifting his hands to a decrepit, pinewood, tarp-shrouded cart that made the same ensorcelled journey. His clothing, comprised mainly of burlap and canvas, is stained by various substances in various places. around his neck is hung a dark leather apron (who's discolorations seem a bit more florid in comparison). With one heave of his mass, he set the wooden barrow into motion. Its large central wheel clattered against the stone floor and the muffled sound of tinkering glass can be heard from inside the ligneous frame. After a few moments, both cart and holder pass the stony threshold and let the heavy doors clap shut behind them. The distance between the portal and temple is a short one in most circumstances, but the sand between the two does not forgive such a weighted pair. Under cover of starlight, the man trenched his way through the terrain to the temple steps where he pauses for a moment before repositioning himself to drag the laden pushcart up the stairs. Mid-stair between beach and breach, the cart begins to tip and is only barely stabilized by it's possessor. From under the tarp blanket slips an elongated fleshy appendage, but before it remains visible for too long it is caught and pushed back into the cart, hidden from view once again. With another listless gaze over his surroundings, the cumbersome figure lifts his right leg forward briefly before kicking rearward, popping the temple doors open. As the doors swing wide, He lurches backward with cart in tow, clearing the last final steps before the doors rebound. The last image seen from outside is that of the man pressing both doors closed gently. |

Accompanying the man and his cart is a thinly framed figure, clad in a dark robe. He spoke quietly to the man as they traveled to the temple of the Vaunted, walking sedately with his pale long fingered hands clasped at his waist and his head down, his face hidden by the shadows of his cowl. The figure made no effort to assist the man when his cart nearly toppled, merely pausing in his soft speech to patiently wait for him to recover. He slipped into the temple before the man closed the doors, moving off into the interior. |

Watching from just outside Castle Tarkuul is a small, decidedly feminine figure in black and violet silks, clutching a staff easily half again as tall as she is. If approached, Irae'arra introduces herself, offers a book of the Laws of Tarkuul, and asks how she may be of assistance. |

The robed figure paused long enough to incline his head to her politely before moving to catch up to the misshapen man with the cart. |
