A fine idea. Vierrae smiled upon reading Nizzre'tyne's reply.
Some time later several slaves dressed in My'afin colours were seen setting a sign with the text of the song attached to it not far from the crystal so any citizen could read the song. Clearly the act was meant to boost the morale of the Edonilians.
Jack O'Bannon wrote:
Here's a story to be told,
for all you cowards*, young and old,
to remind you of the might,
when our Houses do unite.
As the laughter reached its peak,
you felt unconscious, you felt weak.
It now has been identified,
An aboleth we had to fight.
An ancient creature full of hate,
spreads tentacles to dominate.
And dare those who get caught offguard,
release their minds just like a fart.
But the drow don't stand by idle,
and Houses of the highest title
leave their conflicts once aside
and for that fight they do unite.
House Tinnerai prepared for battle,
A hammer and an axe did rattle,
the ilharess herself appeared,
with her strongest jaluk fully geared.
Ilharess My'afin's colours shining bright,
two bulky males right at her side.
In her hand a devilish flail,
This force united could not fail.
Down through the chasm and much deeper,
they dived down to locate the Keeper.
Young aboleths got in their way,
but they were but an easy prey.
Eventually they came to rouse,
the Keeper, as big as a house.
Three eyes with most dreadful looks,
Tentacles huge as slimy hooks.
And as a chance to escape its fate,
the beast tried to negotiate.
Its attempts did not turn the tide,
No compromise, it had to fight.
Slimy tendrils met the steel of drow,
like to give ones bloody nose a blow,
a cruel battle coloured water red,
My'afins colour down at the seabed.
The males Gul'vyll and As'drubal though,
continued to attack to the foe.
And soon thanks to their combined power,
the Keeper sensed its final hour.
Their arms too strong, their blades too keen,
the water smelled like aboleth urine.
Tentacles moved away, there was no doubt,
the aboleth had chickened out.
And here it ends my little story,
you cannot outmatch the drow's glory.
*cowards - only toward those panicing commoners.
