Soaring through the air the guard felt a certain relaxation, his eyes reflecting the calm darkness of the ceiling high above… And then he slammed into the wall with a heavy thud.
“You’re attack has far too much wasted action.” The words sounded out clearly but in a dry clinical tone as the towering Drow male lowered the fist that had just backhanded one of the settlement’s guards clear across the arena.
Shaking his head slightly the golden armoured figure turned to the sound of ringing steel and the sight of the many guards of Edonil (seemingly all those not on duty) sparing vigorously.
“Do not try to chop your opponent in half; you’re using a short blade… Good, but bring your arm in tighter to your body… Put that maul down, you can hardly even lift it let alone use it with that shield.” Snapping his hand out suddenly he grabs the wrist of the guard he sent flying across the arena a few minutes before (stopping the blade speeding towards him as he does).
“Not bad, you did not signal your attack nearly as clearly that time.” He remarks as he lifts the other Drow effortlessly into the air and then tosses him back to smash into the same wall as before.
“Well, they are not hopeless at least.”
“Your helmets are not suitable weapons…” He shouts while pacing over to two of the guard who had hurled their helms at each other and proceeded to brawl. Picking each up by the back of the neck he rams them head first into each other before dropping them in a heap on the ground. “…Your faces apparently are however.”
And so they continued for the rest of the cycle and the many cycles thereafter; with Zeketh’ryn roughly beating the settlement's guard into fighting shape (whether they liked it or not).
