In the middle of the night, only shortly past midnight, an alarm suddenly ripped the people of Ceyren's Mill out of their sleep. The rich and deep sound of the horn echoing through the forest and cliffs. Loud enough that even those in Wiltun became aware of something stirring, eventhough the alarm was not heard clearly or properly there. Those who live at the Mill had no trouble to identify the alarm coming from Father Darian's Asylum. A mere ten minutes later, the Lighthouse sprung to life, a cone of bright light aiming searchingly into the depths of the woods. Not long after this, a large group of guards and adventurers under the lead of Sir Avadon arrived at the Asylum and were informed of the happenings by a troubled Father Darian personally. Then the news spread like a wildfire. There had been a breakout in the Asylum! The people of Ceyren's Mill quickly locked their doors and windows as the news were delivered. Not opening for anyone and merely whispering their answers through the closed doors if someone knocked to speak to them. Who did flee? Are they dangerous? How many? Even behind the closed and barred doors people managed to muse and gossip about the news. Some thought they heard it were only three... others claim it were at least fifteen! The night was a long one and there was no sleep for the staff of the Asylum. At the first light of day, Father Darian personally made his way to Ceyren's Mill and to Wiltun to explain what happned and try his best to calm everyone. "My dear friends, with great regret I must inform you that it is indeed true that some of our patients are missing. Please do not judge them too hard. They are sick and need our help. Some of them once were your friends, some even have their families here among you. They are people of this very isle, some sickned by the taint... some others having suffered a terrible twist of fate.
The Asylum has treated the physical and mental wounds of the people of this isle for many years. We wish to help ease the suffering brought to the people. With this I urge those who wish to search for them to please help return these people 'safely' to our care so we may treat them.
Nine patients in total were to be returned to the Asylum. However, thanks to several brave men and women, three patients have already been returned to our care. Loki Rasallo, Norman Figs and Sam Moss are under the care of our staff once again.
Six more are missing, the details of the missing patients have been left in the care of Sir Avadon and the guard of Wiltun. If you have any questions, do not hesistate to ask the personell of our staff, they will gladly assist you to ensure the safe return of our patients.
Ilmatar be with us." After those declarations Father Darian returns to the Asylum. The streets of the Mill look empty this day apart of the guards. Once in a while some people quickly leave their houses to fetch water from the well or gather some necessary suppies, only to hurry back inside and lock the door again. The door to the lighthouse is locked for anyone who tries to enter. //// A small OOC info/instruction from me. Do not attack any of the NPC Patients while I posess them without telling me first and allowing me to set them hostile. IF you wish to attack any of the patients with the intent to subdue them instead of killing them, this must be annouced BEFORE the attack. Thank you!

Daniel woke up at the Singing Sun Tavern with his small companion, Carbon. He saw in the mirror that his jaw had been bruised from the day before, now having turned a small purple color. Carbon had slept that night frightened beneath the bed.
"A-Are you going back to look for the others?"
"I have to. Simon could be in danger with Salasar leading him around out there."
"But we've been away from Maria for almost two days! What about her?"
"The people we are working with are pretty violent." he said rubbing his sore jaw. "I don't want them to hurt any more patients. Can you go home to Maria and tell her what's happening out here? I'll try to be back in Cordor soon."
"Be careful Daniel!"

One of the Jarl-Wardens, a certain dark-skinned one, would disappear shortly after leaving the docks at the Mill. She was clothed in her usual adventuring wear rather than the Jarl's greens. Before the invisibility took her over, she was making hardly a sound as she headed for the forests. Once inside, she took care with her steps to remain hidden despite the invisibility wand she had used, a hood over her head as she gracefully slinked through the trees, searching.

Taelar continues his work reinforcing the wall and repairing homes, despite the relative desertion of the streets of Caraigh. He also goes out on at least one patrol through the Mill and the ruins of Aigeshed with an elf and the Lady Mirth. The elf spent some time bashing himself against the swords energy shield but other than that, nothing terribly eventful came of the patrol, and the big tiefling parts ways with the other two in Aigeshed, returning to Wiltun and trudging into the keep to file some reports.

Sergii, a monk wearing the robes of Ilmater whom always had a friendly word for the town-folk, is missing. He had been working at the Asylum for about a year and had yet to miss a day...

Considering Sergii had been Dr. Marnook's apprentice he would find the sudden disappearing troublesome. After searching for several hours and asking around, then checking some documents, he would write a letter to Sir Avadon.

Today fresh news spread. The people of caraigh still speak in hushed voices about the events. An old "crazy guy" who proclaimed doom and apocalypse in Ceyrens Mill has been returned to the care of the Asylum.
They also speak of a staff member still missing.
"Did you hear? He's gone ever since the break out?" "You think they kidnapped him?" "Maybe dumped his body somewhere." "He always seemed to be a nice guy, let's hope he's well." "I heared his home was rensacked." "Maybe they hold him hostage."
The gossip goes on and on. Five more patients and the Dr.'s apprentice remain missing.

Samantha spends more time at the small shop, Ceyren's Mill Traders, with the current situation on Caraigh. Carefull to keep a watch out for Adelline and any others working there. She also is seen visiting the quiet Singing Sun often.

Sergii, with his robes torn and his head cut open stumbles back into ceyrens mill in the wee hours one morning and seeks out a guard or anyone for aid.

After setting that trap and murdering Yaric with Josey's help he eventually is found out by the adventurers who came to aid the guards. He dives off the cliff into the water and swims away...
The old man is not seen by civilization for a while.

Father Darian sends his deepest condolences to Yaric's family once the news are delivered to him. He hands Josey's body as promised to the Asylum's authopsy before he retires for the day. Something the elderly, friendly man has not done in years. The news of one of his staff involved in this clearly has shaken him deeply.
The news of the dead guard spread quickly again. The other guards are even more grim than usual and th guard presence in Ceyren's mill is increased. No new men are there until ordered so by the jarl, but those there do increased shifts and double shifts to ensure they are in good numbers at any time.
Those out in the woods find scortched bushes and grass and occasionally a burning tree.
There seems to be no pattern to the fires or the tracks around them. Whoever set them either seems to have a very complicated system to place them or non at all.

Taelar can be found spending most of his time around the Mill instead of around Wiltun, and occasionally patrolling Caraigh. He also makes it clear, if subtley, to the Iron Guard that nobody would shed too many tears is Sergii were killed "resisting arrest", assuming he even survived the sixty foot fall onto the sharp rocks in the waters below, rocks already known for their ability to reduce the hulls of ships to kindling.

If any particularly observant person would notice a burned and near melted corpse stuck on the edge of the riverbank. There is no possessions with him other than what appears to be a charred robe which comes apart as its touched. The man looks near skeletal with clumps of flesh still barely attached to his frame.
It may seem difficult to figure out who he was but it is near apparent how he met his end.

Upon discovering the burned corpse while on a patrol, the young Squire of Wiltun would poke around at it, examining it for any other distinguishing marks or objects about it, searching any intact pouches or the like, and would take posession of anything even remotely intact item wise that could possibly determine who the owner was. Then after muttering a prayer to his Goddess for the safekeeping of the soul of whoever it was on their journey to judgement, he would shift into a umberhulk and proceed to crush, pulverize, and grind the bones and organic material to tiny bits and cast it into the river where it would be carried to the sea and away from the cursed isle.

A woman screaming... guards shouting... smoke rising from Ceyren's Mill, flames lashing into the sky, crackling dangerously. Most of the villagers hid in their houses as the Wiltun guard and some adventurers put out the fire devouring the chicken house.
None of the villagers were harmed, but almost half the chickens burned to death when the wooden house filled with straw caught fire.
Most of the remaining chickens fled in terror, but were caught again by the villagers later. A few who ran too far in their panic, became the happily accepted dinner for a pack of wolves roaming the forest.
Now only the baseplate and the framework made of thicker beams remain of the chicken house, though badly scorched. Some smoke still rises from the blackned wood. The area smells of burnt wood, feathers and flesh.
The latest news spread fast: They pyromancer has been caught and is now back in the Asylum. Farmer Boris declares himself hero of Ceyeren's Mill.

Sometimes people in Wiltun can hear a young woman's faint whimpers and cries at night lately. The surrounding cliffs which carry the wind make the sound to locate. It almost sounds like the sea itself is crying in dispair. The melanchonic sound of it often deprives those living in the fort of their sleep. Delicate, faint, yet so full of unbearable sadness.
People rumor about a ghost of the past. Others speak of a lonely dryad crying for her lost love. Some elder speak of ancient spirits, trying to lure sailors who seek to aid into their trap, so their ships would burst on the cliffs.

Fedora Marie was not at her camp just outside the mill when all transpired, only to hear the gossip on the decks of Captain Lowrance's vessel upon her return. The priestess showed no emotion in regards to the horrific tales of the evenings events, but was clearly amused at the fact that the chicken coop had burned to the ground. Once on shore she decided that perhaps camping was not the best choice of accommodation right now, and managed to find herself a small little house to rent. After she was settled in the former lady set out to try to find the missing patients, in hopes she would solve a few mysteries of her own. // Edited do to a misunderstanding on my part.

After several weeks, finally some news spread about the still missing patients.
Apparently little Simon was found and returned to the Asylum in a very bad condition. Several of the Asylum staff are said to not have left his side the whole night, his condition is still critical.
The same night in the tavern, one of the guards tells his story at the end of his shift. After the third beer he speaks of Lady Darby carrying a young boy who suddenly spoke in foreign tongues. Then black smoke vapoured out of his mouth and formed into a demon! Of course the creature was heroically slain and the boy lived. (conviniently he did not mention who slay the demon)
The weeping and crying lady, who was discovered to be the escaped patient Loretta, was found dead. Cause of death: drowing.
With this, only one patient remained missing.

The source of the sad sounds carried by the wind was found. The woman gone. Dead and likely by now burried.
Still, in every stormy night from this day on, a sad voice can be heard around the Cliffs of Fortress Wiltun. The sound is clear, beautiful and carried by the wind through the cliffs and into the fortess. Yet, so sad and full of dispair that it causes a cold shiver run down most people's spine as it always sings the same song.
"Twinkle, twinkle, little star, How I wonder what you are. Up above the world so high, Like a diamond in the sky..."
Some people claim the cliffs are haunted by a ghost-lady and that they have seen her sitting on a rock in the sea in the storms midst, singing her sad song and rocking a baby in her arms.
