Word spreads like wildfire through Cordor of a red dragon suddenly appearing to attack the South. The shops near the eastern docks have been fairly well singed and burnt, and cobbles have been cracked by the beast's weight. Several guards have seen seen walking off to the hospice for injury treatment, though it appears there were no fatalities. Rumors abound of a sign being seen at the site of the battle, a Banite insignia written on it alongside demands to show proper fear to Bane.

A female Helmite, Keira Annette, Goes to spread the word about how well the guard stood against it, talking about how quite a few fought even when they were burned and wounded.

Krugan will keep tabs on the wounded guardsmen, especially those that he aided personally. He will be constantly looking for anyone that smiles or seems pleased with the note about the Banite sign.

In the following days, he will check in with the Captain at least twice a day, mid morning and evening meal time to see if there is any progress and to inform her of any news he gathers.

He will also begin to HiPS patrol the sewers, forest area between Cordor and Bendir Dale and the caverns below Cordor along with less frequent trips to the crypts.

He will also set average snares he gathers from the orc caves or makes himself, noting if any of them are triggered in the following locations.

Door out to the frontier from the sewers (on the door itself)

Locked Door into the undead area.

Locked Door into the crypts.

Door up into Cordor south near the Long and Short.

Cabinet inside the Long and Short

Door into the caverns inside the crypt that appears to be twin coffins.

During a simple reagent run within the bounds of the city, Myra would find herself ensnared in one of these foul contraptions. In a fit of anger, she would vow to curse the blundering idiot who puts traps within the city and expects folk to look out for them. Her trap-finding familiar would be nowhere in sight, as per usual. She ponders taking the remains of this device to the guard when she frees herself, but yet ponders the crude orcish make of such a thing being present in Cordor. Her afternoon is spent attempting to flag down assistance until a guard finally patrols around to free her of it. Having spent a glorious day trapped outside a tavern, she leaves before she is able to witness the comotion.

(Was apparently mucking about in the sewers for things. SO BE IT, as it also makes sense!)

*Hearing about this from the guard Krugan will reply*

"What in the world was she doing DOWN IN THE SEWERS looking for reagents and coming OUT of the sewers by crawling through the grate instead of the ladder not 20 feet away?"

When he gets her description he makes a mental note to question Myra about just why she was crawling out of the grate under the Long and Short rather then just exiting the sewers via the ladder and man hole like most folks.

//heh..not sure you understood he was trapping the two un-normal ways out of the sewer but you might...we'll see.

After Belalad hears about the traps he places a note.

To whomever is placing traps, remove them. Do not do it again. It was not sanctioned by the Cordor Guard, and I will not tolerate it, do it again and you will be fined heavily.

Lt. Belalad Feiwallyan

After which Belalad will go to collect what traps he can, speaking to what ever guard that may be freely passing information to someone.

A most sullen Katina states that she certainly would not hand information out, but that if she finds out who did, he'll be the next to know.

Xaviera confers at various times with several builders employed from time to time by the Commonwealth, with the Minister of Labour, Elijah Cromwell, and with Meursault of Sympathy for South Cordor regarding the safety of the buildings damaged by the dragon. If repairs are necessary, further discussion follows as to whether or not the Commonwealth, Sympathy for South Cordor and/or private contributions will pay for the repair costs.
