Rumors begin to spread in the Underdark concerning a massive internecine war that recently occured in the drow city of Edonil. Traders between the settlement and L'Obsul claim to have seen an attack force hit the Ussen d'Vhid house compound, before continuing on to enter the Temple of Lloth. Even more worrisome is the rumor of combat within the holy temple itself, an invasion perpetrated by "surfacer scum," and the rumors of Lloth's fury over the incident. Hushed whispers speak of mangled bodies too large to be those of drow being removed from the temple, and a terrifying sight: what may have been a Handmaiden itself screaming at and whipping one of the city's priestesses in the temple's entrance.

In a curious turn of events, Isendu't'tar is nowhere to be seen on the streets. As suddenly as he returned to Edonil, he has disapeared once more. Those who enter the temple, however, would have some light shed onto them as to Isendu't'tar's whereabouts. A body lays atop the altar, with its heart cut out. Although the body is mangled by stab wounds, the holy symbol of Selvetarm is still clearly visible upon his right arm. On his face, an expression of great pain, mixed with sorrow.

In L'Obsul, hearing the rumours, a certain drow wizardess smiles to her messenger.

"I told you it would all come crashing down. This will leave, what, Velthura? Send out word. Those of Vhaeraun, those that the Bitch has let drift to keep the favour of one stupid priestess. Let them know that help is just across the vast...."

She turns away, looking to a portrait of a handsome Eilistraeen male, which she keeps around just to keep her path in mind.

"Gods are no more than children, my love. Here to play with us, as children play with their toys."

With that, she stops the messenger, handing him a small, sealed letter, enchanted with a minor but persistent dweomer to betray any tampering.

"This letter...is for the dark wizard of Tarkuul. You will know him by the sound of his staff. It goes to no one else, and should it be opened on arrival, I promise that your children will weep for what I will do to you before their eyes."

*Calle' walks around the Ussen d'Vhid cavern examining areas hit by battle. She then makes her way to the smaller cave that connects the Ussen d'Vhid cavern to Edonil. She seems to stay there examining that small cavern for a long time as her familiar Dragule and her golem patrol the area. A strange smile crosses her face and her glowing blue eyes flare brightly*

Following wake of battle and destruction, Taer'fein can be seen patroling the city centre and Loinar cavern. Likewise, constantly drawing something and tapping the stone city.
