Xaviera, having pondered the significance of the clues at length, takes a few days away from Kohlingen and Cordor to reacquaint herself with a certain quarter of the island. In the end she returns home, richer for the experience and having partially shaken herself out of the rut she was in, but without any wishes apart from the mundane sort.

Bragging rights go to Seth and Zenith (myself and LetumLux) as the members of one of the parties that solved this riddle. And man was it a great ride.  However, as this information was found out IC, we'd like to keep it like that. Those who are in our character's confidence, or who are alternatively persuasive strangers, might easily get a comprehensive explanation as to how they solved the riddle. Ta!

i suspect the hard part is figuring out the starting place... after that you pretty much know if you are right or not based on the clues.. at least i'd think so.

I might not be thinking what Tranny was thinking but I figured the Gateway to Rising Sun being Lathander's Temple and the "Face of Faerun" to be a coast (albeit, to a sea that isn't made of water).
