Word gets around, starting in Kohlingen and spreading throughout the island, and eventually reaching palces that the island is linked through by trade thoroughfare, such as the Ruathym region and even the Mulhorandi-Khem region (though mostly only of interest to the Lathanderans in Nes'ek).

"On this day, tenth of Flamerule, 1379 Dale Reckoning, the city of Kohlingen does proudly announce a celebration marking the 3rd anniversary of the defense of Kohlingen, and all of Amia, from the attack of the Dark Flight of Tiamat, and the subsequent coalition to remove the chromatic terror once and for all. In honor of all those who gave their lives so that truth, honor, and virtue may live on, a city wide celebration is to be held in Kohlingen, with the main events occuring within the Kohlingen Keep, whose external gates will be opened for the duration of the celebration so that visitors may come and go. Food and drink will be provided in a grand buffet, and entertainment is currently being sought in the form of artists, musicians, actors, craftsmen, bakers and ale-makers, as well as the organization of a test of steel in honorable, non-fatal duels.

There is no admittance fee to join the celebration. All that is required is a respect for those who gave their lives so that this very celebration could occur, and a love for the life that you have been blessed with. All are welcome to enjoy the festivities.

Questions and concerns may be forwarded to the Celebration Committee in the City Hall of Kohlingen."

((July 10th. No specific time; I am hoping to make this an all day thing with collaboration from other DMs to keep the fesitivities going all day long-ish so that no timezone misses out on it. Questions can be PMed to myself.))

*A message is sent to Kohlingen assuring the Justicar that Warlord Calin will make an apperance. It also mentions that if so willing, he'd be honoured to engage the Justicar in a non-fatal duel.*

*A message is sent to Kohlingen from Xal Ilphukiir, addressed the Justicar*

"To the Justicar

You may have heard of me, I doubt you like me. We are not enemies however, infact I would like nothing more then to see you live a very long and healthy life, unmolested by the dangers of the world.

As such, I wish to present you with a gift of maps. I will not say to where, but they are highly detailed, and I think you'll be very pleased with them. I am also a practiced bard and swordsmen. I specialise in combining song and blade. Perhaps I can give a performance of my skills at this festival, perhaps not. I will however attend, as I am with signet ring and not a lolthite.

I look foreward to enjoying myself at your festival.

-Signed
Xal Illphukiir"

*Although somewhat last minute, a letter neatly stamped and sealed in wax with a rarely seen symbol of a broken horn would be sent to Kohlingen, addressed to Lord Yaston of the Triad.*

Dear Friend,

While I have found myself inexorably involved in the violence of elven politics as of late, I must inform you of my continued intent to visit your fair city upon it's day of celebration. I come at face value that all who respect others and value their life are welcome, which I did so display when I spent the night under your hospitality and continue to by not gracing your home with my presence.

As such, I do hope to see you there.

*There is a lack of a signature, but little doubt as to who sent it.*

=======================

//Keep in mind that even though I may not be around, much less allowed by the DM team to sneak in to the city (or to attempt to), I still want to leave the local do-gooders on their toes. :P

*Yaston reads the letters, but does not reply to any of them, he puts out a new notice*

The laws of the Holy City will apply during the celebration.

*stormy hears the guards talking about the event then spots the notice on the gate on her way back to Renais Home in Kohlingen of which she stays*

*shakes her head on the way back from the gate muttering to herself* still playing the sourpuss, why don't he just let himself go a bit...guess I'll have to have a talk with him again.

*giggles*

But first...What should I perform?...

*sends a letter shortly after that she will attend*

*Crow makes his way in no hurry to the festival, enjoying the walk from the Dale.
While there he spectates the jousting match and cheers when one of the contestants gets knocked to the ground in a dusty heap.
Crow meets a gentleman crafting bows and finds one to his liking, which he tests at the range and ends up purchasing. Later Crow enhances the qualities of the bow using some mythal crystals he found in the Skull Crags.
Hungry now, after browsing the festival, Crow seeks a food vendor and finds none. He did however, see various bottles strewn about near the jousting arena, but decided not to pick any up thinking the guards might label him a thief and cause an unwanted commotion.
All in all, it was a fairly pleasant experience, though Crow would have paid well for a riding lesson from one of the heavily armored jousters, but they quickly departed following the match.
Crow wanders the streets of Kohlingen for a while looking for someone he met in Cordor, and after a fruitless search, he makes his way back to the Dale to continue his 'search' for the backstabbing Banite.*

In the early morning hours, hideous 'monsters' beset the city and lay siege to the festivities! Onlookers can only watch in disgust as these vile perversions of nature and enemies of free people everywhere run amok!

What are these beasts that show to corrupt this party? None other than Clowns.

Horrified citizens throw coin at these disgusting aberrations, in hopes that they will leave this place in peace, free from their festive music and whimsical attire. Lo, this merely encourages the Clowns... And there was much weeping and gnashing of teeth.

// clowns? fireworks?! justicar?!! slow dancing!!!?!!?!!? and its only 11gmt :O

Glyph, still drunk as hell, continues staring toward a large white dragon, not sure where the night leads. thoughts of his recent crawl through the reckage of the tempus ruins [even RP'ed it, yes sir.] run deep after a man in gold armour appeared at the party, speaking with knights in red and blue, and the bards the dancing, the crappy bartender who tried to sell me BELLADONA juice, come on.

Glyph stares at the strange concoction a man gave to him earlyer that day, wondering if its a good idea to even think about doing that again, especially with the dragon.

he hums an odd tune, something about drow from the sounds of things. what a strange day, and what a party.

ed: // wow...sixteen HOURS, wow...what a party. dm's, you rock.

Late into the night after the final show, a certain Miss Ruin-Everything member of the Cordor guard could be witnessed suddenly chasing after nothing, her dress likely impeding her pursuit. For those of especially capable eyesight or enchantment, they could follow the trail of left-over party food littered on the ground and see past the sorcery of a certain roaming priest clad in black and red, arms filled with what he could take of food and drink as he dashed past several onto the docks and leapt for the latest ship Gaston was setting sail with.

Most of the food was lost in the process into the waters, and upon pulling himself up onto the deck, he would notice his newly made robes stained from some juice. Damn.

Left in the courtyard was a letter for Yaston, with four simple words: "See you next year."

*Zammikyra would have been seen skulking around the events of that day. For the most part, she stayed out of the way, observing from a distance. She did so with a smile, however.*

*Calin stuck around the mediate the melee, as well as provide a training weapon supply from his camp. He conducted himself in the melee as he should being a Tempurian, and let with a few win's and a few loses. After talking to many of the people present, he finally met the justicar, and more important, his aid. A woman who worshipped the Red Knight. To Calin, this was about the highest honour he had recieved since being on this isle, espically when the woman suggested visiting the War Knights knew base of operations once he had it situated and complete.

The night had gone well for Calin, except for one very sore point. An unfortunate realisation that some of the allies he is expected to work with where cowards. Upon seeing the cowardly demonstration put on by one of his so called allies, he turn face and left angry as all hell, at least to any present it would have seemed such. As usual, Calin performed as it was expected to being a Worshipper of the Red Knight and Tempus. Typical, can't just enjoy a good nights food and fighting, someone has to ruin things.*

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

*Perhaps as surprise to everyone, Xal Ilphukiir some how managed to get in the front gate. He was present for the majority of festival. Adding suspense and surprise to the event. Admittingly however, he did was less concerned about the festival and more concerned about the safety of the justicar. A concern bordering on paranoia. When rumours circulated from Ulrik's conversaton, that a large object bloated out the sun, he added his opinions. When they where scoffed at, he simply shook his head and gave a knowing smirk.

The highlight of Xal's evening was the bard duel he had with the court bard. Playing to the people dancing about. It was here he discovered another interesting use for the Violin. If you flip it up sideways, loosen the strings, and use it to pick at the strings, you can produce some damned interesting sounds. Espically when hasted. The urges in Xal to belt out some primal notes from the depths of his throat where hard to resist, and he admittingly gave into these urges some what we he produced an ear shattering last chord that got him more negative attention then he wanted.*

Not all Triadic Knights were in attendance of such festivities. A particular Ilmaterite spent only mere hours on duty before slinking off away from the celebrations.
