Posters of fine parchment, written with expensive green ink and illustrated colourfully with the symbols of Azuth, Oghma and Deneir can be seen in nearly every town and civilized settlement on Amia.

Attention, scholars, sages, loremasters, historians, minstrels, skalds, philosophers, and researchers or writers of all kinds!

The churches of Oghma the Binder, Deneir the Scribe and Azuth the High One together present all of Amia a challenge: Higher powers have tasked us with the gathering of lore and the tending to the world's knowledge. New ideas must be cherished and wisdom preserved. The quest for enlightenment is neverending, however, and not the sole right of the Clergies of Knowledge.

That is why the three churches announce a competition. Every single learned or inspired soul on Amia is encouraged to dedicate some time to the pursuit of new wisdom. Bring us a piece of lore you have created yourself! Those whose works are of the highest quality will be rewarded with honorary titles, their work will be copied and distributed to several temples and they also recieve monetary compensation.

The request is simple: We ask that you bring to us new knowledge that you have put effort in creating or retrieving yourself. This may be essays on history, politics, cultures, wildlife or relics, research papers on magic, the planes, agriculture, geography, any creatures imaginable. But not only this; it can also be philosophical musings of a particular subject, gathered folklore and tales told of legendary heroes. It can either be prose or poetry, in written form or sung by a minstrel.

Do not let the narrow confines of formal schooling limit your inspiration. When the idea flies free, only the sky is the limit. If what you contribute tells something new, it is worth showing to the world. There are a few exceptions: We do not seek spells or magic books themselves, though articles on magic on a more theoretical level are welcome. Furthermore, fiction with no historical basis or factual content is not of interest in this context, though it is valuable in its own right. Poems with mere aesthetic value should be published elsewhere.

The island of Amia has several tendays to do research and search for inspiration. You may deliver your work as it gets finished. Once the time comes, we will announce a date during which the best of the creations are presented, and the author can tell about his or her work. You can find representatives of all three churches in libraries in Cordor, Kohlingen, Tarkuul and in the Tower of Mystra. I personally reside in the Loremaster's Guild on a demiplane connected to Amia, for the time being,

May your ideas shine bright!

Elasiel, Inspirator High of the Orthodox Church of Oghma

The following extracted from http://www.amiaworld.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=16611

The documents now known as The Scrolls of Xee were discovered in a locked chest in the basement of the Cordor Library some years ago. [...] The Scrolls of Xee provide an interesting glimpse into that brief period of Amian history when a group of inspired young women attempted to promote a cult based on a synthetic approach to the triad of the physical, emotional and spiritual experiences of love.

For the 'official' version of these works, see http://amiawiki.shatuga.com/index.php/The_Scrolls_of_Xee

A now old research project that founded its ways out of the halflings town Benidir Dale shows up, laying in a fine box the parchment is neat and the text carefully written upon in red colours.

A book comes in, leather bound in dark leather and finely written. It never attracted a great deal of popularity but was purchased by a few.

The Cordorian Diagnostic; an analysis on Cordor's 4th Caste

Later that week, a wrinkled account of a hero comes in, written in poetry by an unknown man who apparently called himself Ander. It is accompanied by a note which claims it is not a work of fiction.

A thesis on alternate theories of magic, seemingly in the works for some time, has its first two volumes published as draft.

Theoretical Arcane Metaphysics & Thaumaturgy: "On Magic"
