Duke Montgomery d'Cordor finished his paperwork for the day, and signed off the final release forms to have sent to the proper people. The papers detailed the training of a new squad of magic casting guardsmen to the ranks of Cordor's Finest. The change was brought about both by necessity, and at the request of Liutenant Galverson, to be able to keep order in Cordor with more ways than waving a point stick at someone, which was often met with a return wave of *their* pointy stick.

With a flourished signature, the papers were sent off, and training began immediately. The Guards would be pleased to know that they now had more than one way to keep the peace in their beloved city. By magic and by steel, the merchant gem of Cordor would be safe.
