A rash of rats pours out of cracks and holes and sets about targeting single persons in each faulty attack along the outskirts of the city of Cordor, with some difficulty at first. Following are goblins that rush in from the outside the city with the same task in mind, mindlessly throwing themselves into vicious attack at one person or another without any obvious pattern but in some strange hive mentality of random impulse.
((And because I can... Pied Piper excepts))
``Rouse up, sirs! Give your brains a racking
``To find the remedy we're lacking,
``Or, sure as fate, we'll send you packing!''
Just as he said this, what should hap
At the chamber door but a gentle tap?
``Bless us,'' cried the Mayor, ``what's that?''
``Come in!'' -- the Mayor cried, looking bigger
And in did come the strangest figure!
His queer long coat from heel to head
Was half of yellow and half of red,
And he himself was tall and thin,
With sharp blue eyes, each like a pin,
And light loose hair, yet swarthy skin
No tuft on cheek nor beard on chin,
But lips where smile went out and in
And nobody could enough admire
The tall man and his quaint attire
And at the scarf's end hung a pipe;
And his fingers, they noticed, were ever straying
As if impatient to be playing
Upon this pipe, as low it dangled
Over his vesture so old-fangled.

Wiggan wasn't really finished talking with Mynna when the rats attacked her. Mynna was, for once, about to say something actually important, when Wiggan felt something bite her ankle from behind.
She turned. Rats! Hundreds of rats! Huge, nasty things that were half starved. Big fat sleek things plump on the fruits of poor Farmer Holston! Viscious things with big fangs and raggly ears and beady big eyes going Weeeeee! And biting.
They were all over Wiggan. She kicked them, sliced them, stabbed them, and punched at them. So did everyone else.... but they were on Wiggan so much that she didn't notice that they just didn't seem to be attacking anyone else.
A bolt of lightning cleared the ones away from Farmer Holston's barn. Like big dried terds they lay upturned in crispy rigormortis in the roadway. Wiggan quesitoned the Farmer, "Nay I ain't be seein' none o' em rayats in myah's a-barn. Not liek thayat. Noe sirrrrrrreeee! noe ways liek thayat. Nay you ain't gon'ta be pokin yer dark skin naws rayound in mey'a barn no sirrrrrrrrreeee!" But that didn't go anywhere.
Next they attacked Vyashir. And after that, Wiggan and Jud and Daniel went off to search the sewers, at Vashir's suggestion. But of course Vyashir is almost always wrong so THAT was a total waste of time. Meanwhile, rumor had it that some goblins came running down the hill screaming FIRE! FIRE! toward the group of out-skirtsians but there was no fire except that lit up by the goblins themselves in Mynna's rear. Or something. I don't know.... I wasnt there anymore after that since I was busy CHASING NOTHING AROUND IN THE SEWERS Thank you very much Vyashir!
I started out writing a narrative but I guess it sort of degenerated. Sorry about that.

While the three went off, the remaining: Vyashir, Chiania, and Mynna delt with mound apon mound of mischivious goblins! Not quite questioning where they could of came from, they took in initiative that it was probably the same force that brought the rats and decided to break all there wee bones. There were many bodies and nothing was solved but a mass homicide. The guards thought nothing of it and the rest were left in obscurity.

Arsol Camberfield looks to the mess of bodies, blood, and droppings with disgust. Scattered across the farmland, in a haphazard manner.
“Beh… I be having a feeling I’ll be cleaning this up for days! I’m sure of it!”
