Pilineth heads through the portal to the Monolith and freezes. She is awestruck by the lack of the tower, she moves over to Eli and asks what happened.

"The Arcanum took it out using chronomancy and the ley-based aurora. Sallino, one of those Arcanum agents and a former instructor, killed Meram, the Hin. If you wish to pay her respects, her body rests in Bendir Dale and her soul is likely with He Who Must Be. Mentaki sacrificed his future to keep us safe but that almost didn't matter. I imagine he is still alive but lost somewhere in time as well as the Monolith."

The Wizardly Gnome quietly pondered to himself, head bowed with saddened eyes.

~Your sacrifice won't be in vain, Mentaki. I promise it. ~

A battered Lady Emma Vaughn awakes to find herself once more in the secure halls of Kohlingen's Keep, having been carried while unconscious by the half-copper, Zelly. Her head is wounded, but once awakened, she admits she fell down and hit it in the midst of the dramatic events at the Monolith, and remembers mostly a blinding white light, a terrible noise, and a fight that soon clouded over as she lost consciousness quickly. At least she can count herself one of the survivors.

Piliney simply nods and makes her way back to the dale, deep in thought, leaves saying nought more than "Arvoreen Protect" a noticeable crack in her voice.

A recently dug grave in Bendir Dale's cemetery finds itself with a few visitors late in the evening. A man bearing a blue crystal-ball adorned stave, a red-headed half-elf, and a white-bearded gnome. The grave site finds itself decorated with a few candles and incense. As well, a little stone statue with a likeness of the altar of Mystra that once looked over the doors to the Monolith of Mystra sat next to the headstone that read, "Meram."

The visitors paid their respects with bowed heads and solemn looks. A soft rainfall began as the blue-clad magician began a softly spoken eulogy.

"May you find release from your burdens in the arms of our Mistress.
May the guilt of the past be banished from your heart.
May your soul soar free to Her unburdened by the regrets of Hindsight.
May the Mystery and grandeur of Dweomerheart renew you.
May you be filled with a love of magic, anew, in Her embrace.
May your Sight be unclouded forever more.

Your sacrifice shall not be in vain.
It will be remembered.

Teacher, live on in your lessons. In the wisdom you imparted, to students innumerable:
The future is ever mutable.
By the wonders of the possibility of magic, there is no fate.
There is always hope, even in the darkest of nights.

Always."

*valkin stands a top Wiltun walls, looking out at the bright light,*

"it need not had been this way, yet i must admit there is a level of satisfaction in this end, the monolith that did so ruin my enclave, the monolith that did so destroy my fatherlands trade rights, and so many times cause setbacks for me and my followers. Now there precious tower will be lost to them"

*with that valkin sheilds his eyes as the bright flash vanishes from sight, he nods to himself wondering what may have transpired within the monoliths halls int he last moments, and hopes that not all of them maid it out,*

"Let us hope ulrik will see the folly of his ways from this loss, and know that it is better to serve greatness than to fall to shadow"

*with that he departs to whence he came, deep within his mind he is troubled, for without those of the monolith, without the fallback, there is little but war that could stop what is to come*
