The sounds of small footsteps could be heard echoing about the halls of the temple as Ardul'hrae rushed about alerting the temple guards that Yath'abban Yae'nae and the high priestess wishes to question them. She remains humble and obedient as she speaks and bows to all the higher-ranked females in the temple she passes by. When she is finished, she returns to the brood nest with the others.
Rumors fly within the Clergy of Lolth about some disturbing events...
Screams and chaos were heard about the Spider Cathedral this cycle, most prominently in the halls where the Spider Brood-Mother's dwelt.
It was swiftly discovered that various Spiders had perished in pain, except for one which barely held unto life. This last spider was restored from near-death by the spells of Yae'Nae Do'Veldran.
After the Orbb recovered, Yae'Nae led a prayer with the assistance of a nameless High Priestess, a young-drow, and a few of Qu'ellar Iira'urden. Threw the prayer, Yae'Nae gained insight from the Brood-Mother, the Spider transmitted visions that described it feasting upon the remains of a sacrifice, given by a guard, which were poisoned.
The poison, as Yae'Nae discovered by the light smell around the orbb, and the remaining corrupted food, was belladonna. The herb most likely causing delirium to wrack the minds of the Brood-Mother's and cause their deaths, no doubt belladonna has a much more critical effect on spiders then humanoids.
The companions continued to digest the situation coming up with various theories. The primary suspects for this crime were concluded to most likely be heretical guardsmen, or agents of Vhaeraun. In the vision Yae'Nae witnessed a Kyorl'd'Orbb feeding the Queen Spider a poisoned sacrifice. Though it was not know if he intentionally caused the spider's intoxication.
Yet, this crime was clearly orchestrated by heretics, and they must be brought to justice upon Lolth's altar. Yae'Nae was commanded by the present High Priestess to continue investigating and inform the Mistress of Arach-Tinilith of this grave occurrence.
As instructed, a letter arrives upon the desk of Malice Xull'd'Vharcan.
Exalted Mother,
I am sure the details of the crime against the Children of Lolth have already reached your ears, so I shall not divulge in such a lengthly report.
It seems the poisoning of orbb demonstrated that the security about these holy creatures is not as it should be.
I recommend food, that is fed to the Holy Children, is tested always by jaluken, preferably Kyorl'd'Orbb, so that such an atrocity will not occur again.
The High Priestess commanded that I begin investigating the situation, I have already begun looking into dealers of poison, who would be able to sell such large amounts of belladonna. Though I also believe it is necessary to begin interrogating the guardsmen for any suspicious activity they may have noticed.
There were many witnesses of the spiders perishing, however those who witnessed my healing and communal with the only surviving Brood-Mother was a nameless High Priestess, Ardul'hrae Do'Veldran, Tessai Iira'urden and Dus'kin Iira'urden, though I am sure various other guardsmen and Yath saw as well. My recent exploits being fairly well known among the Spider-Cathedral.
I ask humbly that you allow me to continue the investigation, and give the support necessary to find the heretics who committed this monstrosity and bring them to justice.

Yae'Nae Do'Veldran is to hand over the investigation to Tessai' Iira'urden, who is to send full updates to my desk once a cycle, as to her progress and the exact events, that have occured.
Tessai' Iira'urden, is to operate under the overwatch of the Draada Obokurl Yath'tallar, and will be granted the assignation of one of the Kyorl'd'Orbb, to be assigned by the Olath'Sutrinos, as soon as possible. If anything occurs, whilst the Draada Obokurl Yath'tallar is present to be reported to, those reports will be done, and mentioned in the full report to the Ulath'tallar.
The Kyorl'd'Orbb will serve as guardians of the yath'abbenen, but will not be used as cannon fodder for foolish ideas they may conceive.
In other news, the Kyorl'd'Orbb, will live up to their name. They will feed the spiders, but only under the watchful eyes of the Yath in charge of feeding the spiders. The food will also be tested by jaluken from the city, and if the effects of any poison are noted, that batch of food will be destroyed by darkfire, and another found.
Finally, Yae'Nae Do'Veldran is to spend time with the Brood Mothers, ensuring that several healthy female hatchlings are spawned. All her efforts are to be bent to tending the spiders, until it is otherwise noted.
The woman cannot help but frown when learning of the Mistress of Arach-Tinilith's response. Yet, being dutifully, can do nothing but obey. Promptly the once-Priestess sends a letter to Malice Xull'd'Vharcan that she has received her instructions and shall carry them out to the best of her ability.
Yae'Nae is noted to be spending a large amount of time within the halls where the orbben dwell, feeding them most cautiously and watching over the Brood-Mother's protectively. She is even witnessed to sleep amongst the spiders, who no doubt accept her after she had saved one of the Mothers from certain death.
*Tessai learns of her being assigned this duty from the Draada Obokurl Yath'tallar in an impromptu meeting conducted within the Tinnerai Quellar. She glady accepts the order and promptly afterward seeks an audience with the Ul'veldruk to discuss proper procedures for questioning of the temple guard. She sighs as she realizes that the red tape will most likely get in her way more than it will help her find the culrpit.*
