Across the isle of Amia, storms rage almost every night, and sometimes even during the day. Dark clouds hiding the moons, stars, and sun as lightning crackles and thunder rolls through the skies.
Everywhere becomes more cautious as steps are taken to ensure people are safe, guards removing their metal armors and worksmen clearing out waterways, and citizens informed to stay indoors when possible, only the most stubborn remaining on the streets...
This is, of course, excluding the Doomsayers, chanting their words of pessimism and demise across the cities and realms.
No magic seems to identify this, and even the druids wonder what has caused this. It would seem to be almost natural, as the storms roll over the isle with their own speed, as any would.

Standing under the eaves of the Temple of Waukeen, Jud looks up at the storm with a frown, a few other people around in similar positions.
"Heh.... This reminds me of the time those Talassans tried to level Cordor with a summoned storm a few months back." said the drow bard.
"Oh? What happened to 'em?" asked a nearby hin.
"Well, they were summoning a huge lightning storm in south Cordor. They were tracked down and killed there... But their storm was targeting people with a vengeance. Lightning struck and killed at least ten people in short order," replied Jud, shrugging. "This looks more natural than that storm did anyway."
"It looks like someone up there's thinkin' it's been a bit too dry around here," observed another person, followed by a weak chuckle.
Shrugging again, Jud replied, "Well, the last storm that was deliberately summon spun right above it's summoners. It was like a big sign saying 'Here we are, come bust our chops.' So I gave them what they asked for." Jud grinned. "I do have to give them credit though, they could run fast."
The banter continued as the worst of the storm seemed to abate, though it continued to pour rain, and in the back of his mind Jud still wondered if more wasn't going on than was apparent.
Sian ran to her ship, only to find it flooded. She swore loudly as she and a friend cleared the damn rats and she continued to try to bail the water out..
Enelya leans with arms crossed against the tree outside the temple. With a raised brow she tilts her head and glances up to the sky. She can hear Phenwick and a strange old man bickering back and forth in the town square but seems more focused on the clouds and heavy rain to notice what about. Suddenly her ears perk back and her eyes catch a glimpse of gleaming metal from Phenwick, rolling forward and out of the way as a bolt of lightning strikes in the town square just where he had been standing. Ene jumps slightly and furrows her brows with a frown, glancing over the scene to ensure all were fine before once again focusing on the dark rolling clouds.
She sighs and plops back to the tree once again, shaking her head and thinking to herself. "It will take a lot more then a lightning storm to unite these people against evil.... if that's what that man thinks our "sins" will cause.... I've seen worse in a stroll through the abyss."
Budly suddently went for a walk with Nyrender and a Fey friend of his, after just a short while of travelling they decide to camp up or go down into the hideout close by but it seemed they came into a discussion and Budly forgot the heavy storm as much as he could.
Or perhaps it was a short pause for a while, rain or not. He did not really care! He had spent many days in rain before in a tent under his training under Master Ohlde Mann. But surely the heavy storm was not the normal kind of storm he thought. This one was heavy and one of those who would kill and make people homeless. And being on a isle which it practically was covered on every inch by the storm. It would not be safe to go by boat of the isle either he thought for himself as he walked of into the wild when all around him had left for the city or errands, steping through the water sick ground.

*Lomir Ayloud frowns as he walked out of the Temple Of Waukeen, notcing the great storm*
There is no way this is natural... Perhaps someone is exerting a great amount of magical energy? But that would mean someone is messing with the big stuff. Powerful stuff... *Lomir looks up to the sky and despite the fact he is wearing metal, walks off to the Axis*

Boppi tried to call upon the powers of Talos, during a storm, with his newly made Golden Gnome Dagger.. Which resulted in him being struck by lightning. He's currently recovering at the Salandran temple.

Rurik and Zeek can be seen in Wharftown forging a very long metal pole, almost two buildings tall.
Upon completing this task they plant the the pole down in the ground pointing proudly at the sky. Whenever the air grows dense and a storm is near Rurik shifts into his adult blue dragon shape and has the pole connected to his body with a metal wire. Then he sits down near the edge of the village absorbing the electric charges with his natural immunity, protecting Wharftown from the forces of nature.

As Darli slipped silently between the shadows of the trees in the Amia forest, she paused a moment to glance up at the sky, squinting at a bright flash of lightning and murmuring to herself quietly, "Well, this was never a problem down there." She was soaked through by now, which was rather unpleasant, but luckily she was headed towards Shadowscape where she knew it would not be an issue. She hadn't thought the weather on the surface got this bad, but she brushed it off easily, assuming it was a fairly normal occurance and continuing on her way with other and more important thoughts weighing down on her mind.

In her most recent visit to Amia, Valkirya was watching dawn with Eary and Wiggan, the three of them sitting on the highest cliff at Wynia Ravana surroundings.
Their view wasn't as beautiful as they would hope, because it was raining, though it still brought some beauty, if only because they were standing together there, as a family. She didn't let the rain bother her, though. She was happy to be with her 'family', besides, she remembered how much used to rain at Amia. In fact, she had almost forgotten about it, being living at Waterdeep for five years now.
She also remembered, a long time ago, a lightining storm that fell over old Cordor, years ago. She even remember a lightining almost hitting her old friend, Leggomi. That storm, was proved later, was not natural, but the 'perpetrators' were caught and rightfully punished.
Still, sitting there at that cliff with both Eary and Wiggan, she knew that, most important to her, was to be with them as much as possible, since she would go back to Waterdeep the next day.
It was merely one of those many rainy days at Amia.

Wiggan turned to smile at Valkirya, letting loose of their wound fingers to lift her hand and point across the valley of Nexus Falls towards the South. They had hoped to see the sunset, but by the looks of the sky even in the predawn light, the vast expanse of black unpricked by starlight and the anxious rustle of leaves on the trees in the swelling wind, sunrise was not going to happen this morning.
"It's going to be a rough one," Eary said. "We should get to some shelter and get off this high point." Wiggan put her hand on Eary's shoulder as he started to rise.
"No, we can watch it from here. Let's do that!" Wiggan's enthusiasm seemed to grow with the increasing wind. She stood, coaxing Valkirya and Eary to sit, and raising her own hands to the sky, whispered on the unsettled wind. Peals of lightning and thunder echoed from the north, as a smaller storm began to rise there as well. The azure dawn shrank back among the billowing clouds...
---
Eary and Valkirya had left some half hour ago, not really wanting to sit out in the force of the storm, but Wiggan had insisted that she remain. "I'll be FINE, Eary. I know how to take care of myself in a storm. I love storms! And when it's over I can just fly down anyway." So they had said good morning to her and left her there, a bit concerned, but unable to pull her from the hilltop in the midst of swelling vengeance.
There she stood, naked in the pelting rain, her silhouette stamped against the clouds with each strike of lightning. Arms raised out beneath the sky, across the valley, savoring the power and danger of Nature's fury, she sang. Lost on the wind, her lyrical song became one with the Rage of Nature, at least in her immediate vicinity. And when it passed, she gathered her things, and headed home.

Elixandei was dancing in the myst of the morning. it was a common practice for her and she found a place where people generaly didn't stay. It made it easy for her to play her violin and dance, and on very rare occasion, sing. She had began to play her favoret song, one she wrote while in Kalduhar, and sway her head and hips to it. She only took enjoyment in her music when others weren't around.
As her song began she wind seemed to pick up. She remembered when she began writing the song it was very windy. Auril herself must have been attacking her and her firends on the mountain that day. But the wind this time wasn't quite right. Something was provoking it. The True Cycle was being fondled by a person or persons that had no right to do as such. Reguardless, she kept playing.
After a while, her hair whiping about in the wind, a loud boom came across the sky. Elixandei knew what happened to people on mountains during lightning storms. They died. She set her violin away and another boom echoed arcoss and began to head back down toward the forest.
"Not even gonna dance for me?" A farmiliar voice sounded behind her. She turned to see him, his violet eyes and obsidian armor.
She nodded to the former head of the Ki'Sing family. "Mi'lord"
"Oh will ya quit that, Elix? makes me feel as old as i really am." He turned and looked up toward the sky. Her pale violet eyes dancing across every curve of the clouds thoughtfuly. He was striking a pose absent mindedly. His hand on his hip and the other twirling a dart around its fingers. His Deep blue cloak draped over him as if he could sink away into it and never be noticed.
"You're very old, Lexsuncion. And before you say it i will not call you "Lex". its a mockary of the name your family gave you." She straightened her shoulders and looked to him defiantly.
"...Brings back memories..." He said absently.
By that time, if Elixandei had been continuing the song she would by playing the part about the storm caused by the Aurilites while her and Lex climbed the mountain. Only the people causing this werent in beautiful silver and blue robes. She could feel evil and hate in this storm.
"I'm sorry about your family Lexsuncion but the story is not-" Elixandei began.
"Nah, nah...i mean that storm. I'm talkin' bout that storm up there" Elixandei was ready to just as him and slap his hand away should he point to it, but he didn't.
"Indeed..."
"It's not natural. I don' like it either. Can't see the stars." She watched him gaze longingly toward where the stars were. The crashing of thunder had esscaped her. The placid air Lexsuncion held about him calmed her. He was the only person in Klaime who wondered souly about her as a person, not as an anomolly.
"indeed. These storms will be the end of many people if They're allowed to progress. The followers of Selune and Sehanine, among others, will be disaticfied. Perhaps a holy war will break out." Elixandei watched him. He boasted he'd been in no war involving religion ever, though she doubted him.
He chuckled and shook his head toward the clouds. "If Talos brings someone else into it then i can't fight...No fun there."
"You Believe it's Talos?"
"Aye. look." He waved his hand out over the valleys below them. She saw nothing. The storm wasn't directly over head, but coming toward them. Trolls and beetles should have been returning home from scavenging.
"people have been there."
"Could be an adventurer...Could be a cult of storm calling fanatics. i don't know their holy days when they like callin' storms down, but if this is one then we're gonna be hit Hard, Elix."
"We?" She looked to him oddly. She didn't know what possible relation she had with him besides knowing him.
"Beautiful women who dance and sing on hills are gonna be hit first ya know. They dont care when they stomp around in rage, those Talosians. Be careful." He glanced from the clouds to her, letting his soft gaze rest on her.
His charms were lost to the wind blowing about their free-hanging clothes and hair. She watched him, face as blank and unemotional as ever. She nodded. "Thank you for your concern Lexsuncion." She took her leave, moving back to the forest.
Lex watched the sky a moment longer...then pointed up toward it with his free hand. He threw his dart as far into the wind as he could, threatening Talos with a smile. His other hand snapped its fingers as he did so. "Can't hide in them clouds forever..."
:: Dinishi and Impy ::
Impy felt himself get launched several yards by Dinishi as she swated him away. They were training. Impy with his axes and Dinishi with her shield. The day was calm and sunny.
As their fight raged on, Dinishi always the victor, the wind began to pick up. Clouds began to circle the island and gather near Winya. She looked to Impy for an answer.
"You knows ready Nishi. Is Storm God Man"
Dinishi growled his named. "Talos"
The cause of many mudslides and destroyed crops in Klaime. Children dying of sickness because of the bugs and animals and other things his storms brought to Klaime. Talos and Shar. They needed to be taken from Toril, from their planes, and from existance.
"Yep! is storm god man!"
Dinishi began to run toward the gathering point of the storm. She found it rather odd the Ogres and Trolls and pigmy where still there. it was no matter. They all feel the her blade. The weaker and weaker the oposition became the cmore powerful the storm was. She saw bodies of fallen animals and creatures, burnt by flashed of lightnight...and weapons.
It wasn't long before she made it to the group pursuing the Lightning callers. Two storm lords surrounded by the guards. A drow sprinted ahead of her and she dove in after to protect him...
...She woke up on her back, the sky's veiw was blocked by a large prismatic dragon...
She cursed Talos mentaly. She wouldn't let him stay in Amia...She had to Find the Lore master and Saelin and devise a plan...
During her meander through the streets she found nothing. The storms probably sending the two she was looking for under cover. She tossed Impy from her cloak and looked to him.
"Are the children safe?"
"Storm god man only 'ttaks paladin city. Seguine and Rodia naps hard. Impy no thinks be easy train when lightny hits you"
Dinishi sighed and looked toward the, now clear, sky. She thought to herself Talos you bastard...i will not have you taking any stay close to may children...The skies are the ghosts' of my family's to command. Keep your distance lest you feel a woman's wrath

A frail middle-aged man, clad in a stained dark brown robe, scowls as he opens the door leading out of the Temple of Salandra. His mood is as dark and stormy as the wild weather, feeding on some unspoken anger. He roars madly as the wind howls through the open door, and spreads his arms wide, lifting his head triumphantly.
"I am Aber Toril!" screams Llewyn, standing firm as the wind whips through him. "I am Aber Toril!" he screams again, as he is buffetted back inside, and forces the doors closed. He returns to the infirmary, without his daily stroll, but with a determined grin on his face.
Inside one of the second story rooms of the Weary Wanderer, a young man sits at a desk. The roaring sound of falling water fills the room, completely drowning out the erratic scratching of a pen and the soft rumbling purr of the large black cat sitting beside the man writing.
The closely packed writing smoothly makes its way down the pages, occassionally marred by an errant raindrop. Every few minutes the author stops writing and reaches down to gently pet his familiar as he stares out at the rain falling down the window. _____________________________________________________________
These dreadful storms have been raging almost non-stop since the day after I arrived here. I suppose it was quite fortunate of me to get the room when I did as things have become rather crowded downstairs.
((The guards have warned us against heading outside overmuch so I still haven't gone out into the streets yet. ))
No. I left the school because I couldn't stand living by their rules any longer. If I stay in this room simply because I'm frightened of the weather I might as well still be back in Halruaa.
Lliira doesn't seem to be worried by the rain however, even with the amount of noise it's making.
Perhaps I'll take her lead on the matter. That delivery service the dockmaster mentioned would likely be having troubles maintaining their services in the recent conditions.

e some money for when the time comes to pay for the room.))
Thraldur travels up to the surface through the swamps, being pelted unforgivingly by harsh rains. He slays the last swamp hag attempting to abstain his path and continues in low.
He attempts to remain low, moving toward the ramp of land out of the swamps. Nearing the final tree of the swamps he raises his stature and calms down, becomming less aware. At that very moment a lightning bolt cracks on a branch above his head, blinding and deafenning him momentarily. "Vith, that was loud," he muttered strongly before peering from side to side and continueing his traverse to the city of Cordor.
Stalking the streets in the never ending torrent of rain. Not seeking shelter at the Inns in Cordor. Blake feels like the water is seeping into his very bones. Pausing only where his finds warmth of fires, hidden in crowded alcoves and the backalleys.
One such rest lands him in a group of thugs and whores in the southern parts of Cordor.
"What ghastly weather it's been for ages." A green eyed wench says in a low voice. "Makes bad for business." She sends a little forced smile at Blake.
"Sure does. Can't really rob people when no-one is outside." Blake answers. "And those that brave the storm really hasn't got much to steal." Glum eyes looking over those gathered around the small hissing fire.
"You just try 'nd lift me purse 'nd I'd be spilling yer brains o'er the stones 'ere" A burly thug says, emphazizng his words by slapping a wicked club in his palm. Blake sends him a chilling look that shut his mouth like the kiss of a Banshee.
The Green-eyed woman slips a hand around Blakes waist and draws in close to him. "Maybe we should find a more hospitable place.." She purrs in his ear. "I sure could use a dry room and some good company this night."
Blake clasps her hand, looks her in the eyes. "Yeah, can't be worse than the company here."
Together they walk out into the massive rain fall and picks their way over to The Chamberpot. Blake pays for a room and tells the Inn keeper that he wants the room for a tenday. As they enter the room, Blake strips of his soaked cloak and shirt and while the girl slowly undresses, Blake stokes the fireplace and gets a fire going.
The rest of night, the 2 of them entertains each other and warms each other.
The following day, they enjoy a hearty meal. The girl, still unnamed, takes to the streets again, but Blake promised that she could seek him out again anytime she needed a warm bed to sleep in.
_________________ Death is not the end, merely a transition!!!
The nights, while the storms become somewhat sparse, the harsh weather continues as lightning crackles through the skies and thunder rolls across the city, echoing in the now emptied alleyways.
Each time the storms come, Cordorian guardsmen and militia call to the streets, urging them to head under cover.
The rain and lightning forces Cordorian soldiers to dismiss their metal, cumbersome armors in favour of leathers, despite half of their company grumbling in annoyance. As such, they find their ability to fight back the Orcs from the Frontier to be ever harder, Galverson calling out to those who would spare the time, effort, and blood to rid the land of those orcs before their new leader rises to any true power.
Meanwhile, Girlich of the Weary Wanderer finds that business comes to a standstill, sighing as the rain pelts against the roof of his inn, the wooden old-styled structure unable to completely block the rain ; leaving those inside wet, annoyed, and un-paying.
The Long and the Short seems to be getting record business as a result.
KOHLINGEN
Kohlingen troopers remain on the streets, the rain hammering down on their steel armors from the heavens as they remain ever vigilant, relying on cantrips to create light as the weather douses their torches.
Kohlingen's Manor continues to pour undead by the hour, despite the Troopers' best efforts, as they attempt to persuade adventurers to help them with the problem, Simond forever preaching the cure to Kraven's Curse lies in that single, hard to remember, phrase.
WINYARAVANA
The elven home of Winya Ravana seems to remain relatively unphased, water flowing off of the unique structure of the city without problem, though adventurers are warned when going past the lower area of Nexus Falls and Minmir Bridge that there have been some reports of flooding.
The residents of the Fae Tree, however, seem entirely uncaring of the possibly hazardous nature of the storm, instead making games out of how long they can dodge rain drops for. The current victor is one Filizzle Marcrassile Massle Falassile Zassle. Better known as Zippy the Fae.
High Captain Amilith, however, does not allow neither the gloom of such weather or the limitless silliness of the fae phase him. Instead, he requests any who would take such a risk to ensure that the the beastmen don't take advantage of the darkened skies that limit visibility, by fighting them back into their caves, commenting; "Do not mistake the Beastmen simplicity for mere stupidity, my kin. Be ready for anything, and utilize your skills".
UHM
Rain pelts down, and the citizens merely decide to wait it out within their homes, excluding the children of the area who find such weather to be quite exciting and fun.
Most all of the ports are closed, however, without any ships docking for the time being thanks to the risen tides and frequent storms. Though, rumours abound of a certain pirate by the name of Luchavi, taking the opportunity to increase his land forces. Some even claim to have seen him in Uhm's Inn, though this is mostly dismissed as the ramblings of the paranoid.
Jack 'Six Fingers' Silver, with Barker at his side, rests back in his little shack and watches the area. "Thi' weather's no good, I tells ya! Ain' seen nothin' like it nigh on fitty years! Almos' as bad o' those damn kids playing on that damn bridge!"
BENDIRDALE
The small-folk city of Bendir Dale seems to take most the worst of the storm, the waters rolling in down the hills into their naturally dip in the Amian landmass, causing frequent flooding that's lead to more than a few ruined crops and frightened animals.
At times, the hin population have to resort to mundane means, having troupes of small folk diverting water into their underground lake, hoping that in time the rain will stop.
Officer Gustan Wess, however, remains unfettered in his planning to rid the area of the Mylocks, after their recent daring incursion against the typically quiet and peaceful town.

Confident of his disguise with the brown horse hair helmet and the gray rags, Madrik again walks the streets of Cordor, despite his bounty and the recent attempted murder with the poisoning of the ale. Half-blind by the haze of the downpour and half-deafened from the clash of water against the metal of his helm, Madrik sees the square completely empty. For the first time in his history, he removes his helm publicly within Cordor.
Later that night, to his surprise, the rain keeps coming. He brings his cloak before him and rings out the water. After speaking with a resident whom mentions the continous storm all along Amia, Madrik sets out, fearing this would bring himself attention uninvited.
"The furthur North I am, the safer." Madrik needed to get far from Cordor... however, those witnesses were correct... the storm just isn't over Cordor. Whilst on a cart to Bendir Dale, the wheels ground themselves in deep mud. The driver curses just before the slithering calls of a band of kobolds.
Quickly ensuring the saftey of the cart, Madrik continues on foot. Arriving in Bendir Dale was the dark and mess of mud and water. Having sympathy for the halflings and looking over his shoulder to reassure himself he isn't being hunted at that moment, he strips of his shirt and assists with the water redirection into their underground lake, bail out water from homes and ensures the safety from drowning.
Head still covered in his helm, back aching, wet and covered in mud, Madrik stands up straight, stretching his back with a bail in his hand and takes another glance at the gates behind him, feeling unsafe so close to Cordor, but obliged to assist these halflings, despite the dangers.
Malice had been to the surface to warn them all that this was the final warning from Lloth... they laughed at her, some ran from her, and the several drow who stood around her added menace to her howled warnings over the wind the rain, lightning seemingly emphasising her points...

Estara rolls up her sleeves, and begins the scary climb up the side of the building. Though she slips, slides, and squeals many times (including falling, and using repeated health potions), she does indeed make it up the side of the Weary Wanderer with her hammer. She asks Girlich to begin throwing up the wood. She does get smacked a few times, but eventually, again, the wood does get up there, and she begins hammering some planks to cover the holes.
"Y'know, Girlich.. you should get some real workers on this.. I mean.. I know I'm doing an amazing job.. but.. really. You should really re-do this thing. I'd even re-decorate it for you.. like I said before.. a couple of those stools.."
She just shoots him a glare in response. "Fine!!! See if I ever come back.." She turns back to the roof, smiling slightly, and mumbling, "Old bugger.. Gods.."
(( I know I said it FOR Girlich, which is meta-gaming I guess?, but if any of you DMs find a problem with it, just edit it to whateve rhe might actually say And if Girlich wouldn't help Estara fix the roof, just edit it to someone else.. I don't mean to meta, but it seemed fairly annoying to just PM you about a few sentences. I don't mind if you fix anything or not. But hopefully people'll take this into account, in-game, as Estara would've been seen helping out, probably. Sitting on top of the Weary Wanderer is.. er.. a noticeable place. And maybe even.. the DMs could have a little fun re-decorating if Girlich would ever allow it.. lol.. it'd be fun ))

Returning more South, Madrik notices a clear in the skies. He makes trail to Bendir Dale, satisfied with the dryness of air. With the hin content with what repairs are necessary, he sits at his usual stool at the bar within the Hinn Inn enjoying a refresher.
The local taverns had become great friends with Galvin soon after his arrival. Instead of making any effort to make some gold, he was spending it to pay for a room and meals. He did enjoy the drunk customers mainly because they couldn't be too sure if they had spent all their gold on booze the night before or if someone else had dared to take it.
The weather kept him from going outside and getting to know the area better. He had hoped to find a suitable place to stay that is cheap and comes with a gullible landlord who asks few questions. So far no luck but for a little longer he'll be able to maintain a roof on top of his head. If only the storm would slacken soon so that he could start working. There's no houses to rob when everyone's inside hiding from the rain and thunder.
Malik Thunderfist, a newly arrived talosian cleric, sits high atop the skull crags as a storm rocks the country side. As the storm grows in intensity he strips down to his loin cloth, and lays his armor nearby. Brandishng several religious paraphinalia he moves to a higher vantage point and raises his arms to the sky, the rain pouring down his slim yet healthy frame.
"My great lord, I am here to do your bidding!, ask of me what you will and I will comply!. He starts to swagger, his arms still raised, as he launches into prayer and dance, everytime the thunder cracks he flings his arms into the sky, the lightning strikes cause him to moan in an almost ectasy like state.
As the storm continues to rage, Malik desends the crag hills, full of furvor and intensity. He descends upon the kobold caves, bringing the storm lords wrath to those who would feel "safe" hidden underneath the earth, the kobolds are quickly decimated, the leaders still screaming body mounted on a pole high atop the kobold hills, waiting to be claimed by Talos. As Malik sings and dances, his bare body exposed to the elements, the kobolds eyes go wide with fear, the pitiful creatue beging for freedom.
The storm rages on for awhile longer, and when it abates the kobold hills harbors a weather beaten kobold and a talosian priest passed out from his ectasy like fervor and prayer.

*Gwen Amolen glances around the square outside the temple in Cordor, taking note of those around her who seem to enjoy standing under trees in the rain. She looks in disgust, pulling her cloak tight around her, and the hood over her face, darkening her face. She walks silently by, keeping her eyes fixed ahead, watching for changes and movements. The sky cracks above her and a flash of lighting strikes in the sky. She looks up at the dark clouds, the drops of water hit her skin sending chills down her spin. She grins and says..* " With a few undead this place would be.. nicer." *she leaves town in the search of something to entertain her, perhaps she'll find something to slay, a weak adventurer...*
