Good afternoon everyone. For those of you out there who like the idea of being a dev here on Amia but don't know where to start, then maybe this is for you! I'd like to plan a little web conference were I pass on some of what I have learned the past few months and help those who want to try their hand at building stuff in NwN. So, I'd like to gauge interest here so i can start planning. If you would like to attend post here with your availability. My availability mainly starts around the 2000 (8PM) EST and continues to whenever I pass out, as late as 0200 (2AM) EST. If you absolutely can't make that time-frame, just let me know and maybe we can do something shorter during a different time frame. Caveats and Consideration: 1. I am not an expert at this stuff, I've just started down that path and I know enough to get me, and you, started. 2. There will be some programming terminology. That said, you don't NEED to know programming to begin. 3. I am gone the week of 6/11 but will be back the week following. |

Heya! I am totally up for this. I've been learning to play with Aurora Toolset and its scripting on my own already. Also found some pdf's for trying 3D modeling with GMAX. So, if you will have me, would love to learn and hopefully help Amia out. All the best! Have a great vacation! |

OK, sorry for the delay in getting this rolling. So, I'm planning on blocking off some time tomorrow, Friday 6/28/18 at 2100 (9PM) EST. The plan is that I will host an uberconference and anyone who wants can join. I plan on being available for up to an hour. The agenda will be going over getting started in the toolset and some of the nuances of dev work for Amia. This session will be very informal and no prior experience is necessary. If you plan on attended, please RSVP here so I know what to expect. If you can't make it, I may try to videotape this session and or can go over the information again at a different time. |

I'm piggy backing this thread to say I'm looking to run a session on Saturday to go through general tidbits are Area creation as I create a generic area to be used in a future DM event. We'll go through a lot of basics with the toolset as well as some light scripting and conversation making. I'm currently looking to host it around 12pm GMT. |

If you want to have an account on https://www.uberconference.com/ ready, that's all you'll need. I did a test run by myself and I might struggle to read the chat (I'll see if I can have it up on another monitor) so a microphone would be handy. Though I'll try an include the chat somehow. |

I myself have no qualms setting up a session and running her through the area design/script stuff to see what she knows. Unless Hroth/Kam or anyone else feel the need to do that in my place. |

I'd like to get in on some script teaching sessions. I know enough to get me by, but having someone actually walk me through it would be good for expanding my ability to stomp on bugs (which has been my specialty of late). |

For all of you interested in wanting to learn. I myself personally have a fairly open schedule unless my younger half has a medical emergency. and he hasn't had to have an ER visit in luckily 7 or so years. Since we first moved where we are now. My only spoken for days generally are Friday and Saturday as those are the days he doesn't have a nurse so I play nurse those days. If you guys are interested. Either PM me on discord or the forums what times are best for you and I'd be more than happy to run people through sessions and see what you know and what I can help with ^^ |
