Rule: Consequences of your actions ("R"DD and Palemastery)

What does this mean for rebuilds? Can I get a Self rebuild if I have more than 10 levels? (It would mean I lose my abilities to regain them, so I'm not sure, would this be allowed?)

That also means any rebuilds can not lower your PM or RDD levels, only increase them, correct?

I don't think that any of this is really new or surprising. Both paths are a huge commitment and should not be something one renigs on. Sure a palemaster, could seek atonement, ditch his arm and be a shitty necromancer, but you still have boneskin and generally wasted years of your life pursuing the deathless arts. RDD is an intense physiological change, that not only alters your appearance, but also your behavior. There should be and fortunatly, there is no going back on this. RP it as you may, live a life of regret, but you aren't Keith Richards. You can't fix yourself by getting new blood. So yep. No going back.

I know. I just am curious, since it was posted now. It was a question I would have otherwise asked when it becomes relevant to me.

Self Rebuilds are usually (as far as I've seen) judged by the end result, rather than the progression. Yes, in some cases, the level you took things like Weapon Focuses might be relevant, but you don't post your leveling order in a request.
This leads to certain questions on my end, with the main one being exactly how rebuilds are handled for the two. If I make a full selfer, do I IC still retain wings, bone arms, scales, etc? Or are selfers completely barred for that reason? That the character does not change IC is clear, my question is how it is handled OOC.

You can rebuild them, you just cannot remove the levels.

Let's say you've been a 18 RDD 2 Sorcerer 10 fighter. You can still DC or self rebuild into a 18 RDD 12 bard. (These are examples, pelase do not judge the power quality of these builds now :P) and change skillpoints, feats, abilities. It simply means you cannot (at such high RDD progression) simply not be a RDD anymore and rebuild into a 16 WM, 2 Rogue, 12 fighter, or even a 4 RDD 16 WM 10 rogue.

If you just want to loose a level or two of those classes (like from 18 RDD to 16 or somesuch) the case will be judged individually and we can see about that.

You cannot anymore however go from 16 PM (or RDD) to 0.

And correct, this isn't really anything "new" it has been mentioned a few times already in between discussions and requests and so on.

However, I know the playerbase (rightfully) struggles to sometimes find rules as they have just been mentioned a few times and "assumed everyone knows" and then there is big confusion if people didn't know. As a self-discipline for 2017, I am trying to make this a bit easier for us all and just make it easier to find. Ideally, I will try to re-work the whole "rules" section eventually, which seems rather lacking. To put it mildly.

Is there still a stacking issue with de-leveling RDD? I have heard there was and was told you have to make a new character as a result.

*This is me being constructive*

I believe this is still the case. This doesn't go to the player "burden" though. The levels that just need to be re-done because of that issue, but hold no changes, are not charged and just given back.
