Well, I have 342 DCs. Since custom scripting/abilities is closed permanently, I don't really give a crap about DC gear, and I doubt I'll ever play again enough to warrant spending them - You may all begin grovelling for my sponsorship now.

It's good to see that people will more easily be able to help their friends out with stuff. I think it will lead to a lot more adventurous RP and going out and asking for things you wouldn't be able to otherwise.

But...

And I hate to be the only downer on what looks like a pretty popular decision, I still like the idea that you have to put forward something into your own request. Even if it were just a single DC. Just to make sure that you are even putting forth effort into roleplay and such and not simply getting bankrolled as I think it was said. With as many DCs that are apparently out there, all it takes is just a really friendly person and it's like they don't exist at all, right? And I say all this as someone who is habitually DC-starved. >_>

I guess the limiting factor shifts more towards the actual RP used to get the items/widgets/etc. Doesn't matter who likes your idea enough to throw DCs at it, if it isn't up to snuff in the first place to get passed. Which, in a way, is a good thing for us. I guess between the choices of this or having people who can't get enough DCs to build upon their character, by sheer dumb luck of not being around at the right times or not always RPing with larger groups, then this is the better choice. It still gives me a moment of pause, however.

No but really I think this is great and hopefully won't be abused.. And frankly it will be pretty easy to notice if someone does try to. So I'd recommend not even trying. It's literally like a banking system. It all you're doing is sending it to one person that is pretty F-ed up!
