OOC: Hey, folks! Let me start by introducing myself. I am Blackjack, and I currently play a myriad of characters, with the primary being Iym'iira Torviir, a drow house matron in the underdark. When I started playing here a couple months ago there was basically nobody kickin' around L'Obsul or Nec'perya. In the past week or so, our community has EXPLODED with activity and truly decent, creative and fun players that I'm proud to have in my faction. As our community grows, we both fill spots and make more; from slaves to priests/priestesses in training, trading partners, scouting parties, contstruct-specialized folk, golem masters and more. We would love to invite you all to try out a new character, or welcome back an old one and join us for great RP, involved story, or a good old fashioned killfest. Military oriented? We're interested! Got magic on the mind? We're listening! With an incredibly varied and broadly international crew, there are nearly always people around for you to get your evil on with and we'll work with anyone that's up for having a good time. Our rules are only that you be decent to each other OOCly, and always strive to improve.
We're currently building a more custom physical faction home, but have one in Nec'perya, with many ideas for additions and play in the future that will be used (hopefully) to not only entertain our house, but all those that seek to partake in the high fantasy, low morals lifestyle. I would love to facilitate a meshing of surface and underdark roleplay -- from plots that include raids and trade, to the nefarious abduction of the rare, skilled, strange and otherwise for the future development of gladatorial entertainment, etc. It is my goal to be as inclusive as possible whilst still fostering the legitimate underdark experience.
So, let's all get out there and play!

Following is a list of things that I, personally, would love to have in my arsenal as far as some concepts that could be interesting to explore:
Druid of Talona -- We have a large amount of assassins, sneaks and blackguards that require poisons for their blades; preferably ones that others have not yet encountered, or adaptations on unusual strains of diseases that we might horrify the surface folk with in preparation of raids. It is important to note the differences between druid and cleric here, as said Druid of Talona must also respect Lolth, the same as we all understand that Lolth is great and glorious, but she does not offer spells for a druid.
Priests/Priestesses -- I am always open to training new clerics for the Spider Queen, or even her consort; we need our protectors, and the forge is so woefully undermanned. Pure clerics, more blackguards, all manner of blends and concepts are completely open for us in Torviir. Or, if you're not interested in being part of a house, but you would like some Priestly/Priestessly RP and interaction with our group, hit us up.
More casters!

-- Sorcerers, sorceresses, dragon disciples, oh my! We have a wizard, would you like to be an apprentice? Would you like to flex your blood, and show these people what true power is? We like that, too. Perhaps we can make arrangements.
A bard -- History must remember our greatness, and what better than a silver-tongued bard or bardess to perform as a master of ceremonies at the grand events to follow? Serenade me with beautiful songs... about me! Raise morale of the troops... by talking about me! 2, 4, 6, 8, who do we appreciate? Nobody but ME! ;p An historian, a herald, a dark messenger, the heart of any party.
Scouts -- We have some unique scouts already, but I would love to flesh out this scouting party with more. Shadow dancers, assassins, dragon disciples, rangers -- we need recon, and this particular unit does not have a lead just yet. Eh? Ehh? That's right. Chances for advancements. Get on that power grab.
Mercenaries -- Not every scout or warrior has to belong to Torviir to fight for Torviir. There are plenty of opportunities for these sorts, and the underdark is a rough place. Know secret routes? I will pay handsomely for your loyalty and silence.
Merchants -- We have duergar, we have slavers, we need more. We are currently ICly working on developing new trade routes, as well as securing the more mundane that we already have. We seek to open up more of the underdark to our progressing powerbase, perhaps even find new cities or interesting people... to exploit for cash money. A war effort always requires trade, and the more the merrier.
On that note: Explorers! -- Do you make maps? Do you want to? Do you like to scout about in dark shadows and forgotten tunnels and ancient waterways? I don't. But, I'll pay YOU to! These would be a fantastic addition to scouting and mercantile groups and help us determine new and exciting ways through our home ground and into the surface. You can't stop the rats from getting out of the sewer if they come out of every manhole.
Slavers and Slavemasters: We are currently in the process of building a grand holding of slaves, both mundane and exotic. These things must be taught obedience, and tricks -- they must be prepared for the coming wartide so that they might break upon the shores of peace and wear down the reef that once kept us at bay. They need to be bargained for, and deals must be made. Also a great addition to merchant and mercenary group roleplay.
(Edit!) I almost forgot. I would LOVE to see some engineers or inventors. I think that would be such awesome roleplay, and I have some great concepts for things I'd like to see us work toward creating, I bet you guys do too.
This list is far from exhaustive, and I would be more than pleased to work with anyone of any underdark race to find them a home and team to play with; with us or against us, all for the glory of the Spider Queen. So, come down and join us, the company is fine and the competition is fierce. Talk to us on the forums, or message us in game if you have questions, concepts, or just want to chat about possibilities. We may be back-stabbing bastards in game, but we're all friends here.
