Thank you all for participating. I sorted out all public and private submissions aswell as some DM Submissions.

Discussing with others of the Team this is our top 12!

A few good suggestions unfortunately could not make it due to being part of canon lore which could lead to confusion.

We took the liberty of making a small alteration to Pony's suggestion which is a really nice one. We wanted to avoid confusion though with things that had once already been started i game and with dragons standing a lot for Kohlingen on Amia.

Maybe I'm too American and too old (and maybe stretching a bit to make a bad joke), but I think the Coiled Hydra Adventuring Company should be renamed to the Coiled Hydra Adventuring Division.

And when one of their members commits a crime we can hang them.

And call them Hanging CHADs.

Found a fancy logo that would fit to a The Wave and Serpent Adventuring Guild for example. haha. (goodle is your friend in your lunch break <.<)

It would be really fabulous if someone modified that salmon pink to a coppery-gold sunset color, to make it look the pre-dusk sunset sky but also like a golden disc (coin) to represent not only Cordor but also the promise of fabulous wealth from belonging to an adventuring company.

Of course, that would involve editing an existing piece of art that may or may not be public source, so...

funny enough, the idea of it imprinted on a coin came to my mind too!

Geh, I hate the "adventuring guild" or "company" at the end of the name. Everybody will know that you are an adventuring guild or company, there's no need to lengthen the name for emphasis. Think of all the extra ink it will consume in all the official print, and all the thread wasted in your banners.

agree, but the acronym for the Serpent and Wave Adventuring Guild... has style.

The the Wave and the Serpent works too for the Guild sign or such.

Maybe one of our graphic talented people can make a logo in coin or seal shape in a similar manner as the picture I showed! Oh I know.... graphic contest is next after this vote is over.

If we could switch Wave and Serpent around, it can be shortened to SWAG.

This is why none of this interests me, or is losing me before it even becomes a thing. If some stupid TV tagline becomes an IC thing, I will avoid that IC thing. Even more so if it's a RL thing I avoid there.

I'm not sure what The Wave and Serpent which is currently the leading name has to do with a TV series. But okay.

Wave And Serpent itself isn't bad, actually, as an evocative name that fits the island setting. But the push to make it SWAG, or Hydra is what I'm talking about. I thought I might be the only one bothered by that, so I thought I would publicly mention it when someone else said they were as well.

Let the kids have their fun. Believe in the power of your own expertise with immersion, and remain confident that mere references to swag and hail hydra cannot throw you off your excellent game. :wink:

The name will be a normal name. However just as in real life, people will find nicknames or "fun names" for things. Out of experience, such usually happens no matter what the real name is.
