I want to give this person a personal round of applause. I had no idea what was happening when they first made this post: viewtopic.php?f=143&t=82155 I thought... "Why remove it?" But.. I have to give them a ton of credit for going through and posting all those builds in such an ordered, easy to find manner. Nicely done! |

For those of us who tend to end up begging others for a build, I most sincerely thank you, Davis114, for these builds! <3 |

Geez. I never thought looking back at the build topic would impel me with such a rush of nostalgia. It feels like going through a photo album filled with pictures of your childhood or finding an old school paper when packing up for a move, thinking, how time flies. But to think that you leafed through all those pages, read all those posts, I feel as if I'd been part of an ethnographic study, like some passages of our lives had been recorded in a chronicle. Reading this chronicle has made me remember old friends I had already forgotten, what a brilliant bastard Uce is, and realise how watching my own growth here can make me cringe from endearment. I suppose the forum itself is a chronicle of sorts, but it also feels unwhole, like a book without its covers. Your work is of great personal value to me and I appreciate you doing this insanely. I hope you found it fascinating too. |

Thank you for making the most ridiculously spammy thread useful! Searching the thread was so painful... until now. |

I hope you found it fascinating too. Your work in the build thread over the years was educational to a lot of people. You and a handful of others. I think we both understand who they are. I learned how to build from the original thread when I started on Amia. The idea of all that amazing information going to waste in a 186 page novel seemed wrong to me. Hell, I'm even running your dwarf build, with a few personal tweaks. It's definitely a hike to read through that much material. And I'm actually not quite finished yet. But I do enjoy building, so for me, I enjoyed reading every page. You should look in the IMPORTANT section. I felt the need to immortalize your finest build. |

Jesus... Do you sleep and/or have a day job? I'm looking for a data warehouse admin with a keen eye for detail. |

Actually, that's something like what I do. I'm a technology specialist for a transit company. We're in the process of doing quite a few things, but part of my job is monitoring our SQL servers and handling day to day troubleshooting from our branches. That involves me sitting at my computer and doing quite a bit of watching. Figured I'd do something productive while I'm sitting there. I also despise where I work, because it involves talking to people who have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about. Which involves repeating myself. Often. I despise repeating myself. I like what I do, just not necessarily where I do it. So involving myself in side projects instead of trying to repeatedly instruct people on simple tasks benefits my psyche. |

... holy carp. I avoided ever even opening that thread because it was so unintelligible; I can't imagine wading through all that haystack just to sort out a few needles. Seriously, that's amazing. |
