So, I played here like ten years ago (oh my god, I'm old), and for reasons that don't need to be discussed, I'm stuck in a place I know no one until my job starts at the end of August, so, you know, why not? I just hopped on and didn't recognize anything, and there wasn't any other new characters on, so I figured I'd post here on the forums. If you've got a newbie character and are looking for an elf wizard friend, PM me and we can go do adventures.

You could just play an Elf Wizard who is mentally unstable and thinks he is a Hobgoblin, and even wears a funny home-made paper mache hobgoblin mask around as he travels the world.

Who'd you play? Welcome back, anyhow! There are plenty of players around from those days, though many more have been swallowed by life, death or other games, obviously.

I'm certainly looking for arcane adventures, as soon as I'm done with moving.

I honestly don't remember the names of my old characters. My approach to names is to find random names from fluff and pick the ones that feel right. It works great until it's a decade later and you're trying to remember anything except all the things that change. Back in my day, if you wanted black armor you had to hunt through the quagmires - which north of the pass of depair - for black petals once per reset. And Wyrmhold had an actual dragon in it. And you had to go through that mountain pass that leads to Guldorand to get to the desert. And you had to spam direct connect to get on the server.

So maybe the good ol' days weren't so good.

Anyway, PM me when you're settled. We can do things.

Sadly, this is not me. I don't remember many characters, but I do remember Yossarin, mostly because a guy I had been partying with a while was sending me tells about how stressed out he was trying to RP in front of Yossarin because he didn't want to embarrass himself. I also remember a halfling that would drop hellballs in the middle of Cordor, but I don't think they lasted.
