Finding the Problem: If you press Screenshot, and translate it to Paint or any other items and it pulls up all black instead of the image. Then go to Google and type 'Windows Mode' and it shall pull you up in a NwN.Wiki. Change the settings it says, then if done properly press Alt + Enter. That will lower you to Windows Mode, and you can Screenshot what you wish without a issue. If this does not work, there is a software MuseReader has found. She said it's complicated, but it should help. Inquire her for the software name. I hope this helps any of you guys.

Another thing you can do, is download the software Lightshot, which lets you select the portion of the screen you want to screen cap, and either save it wherever you want, upload it, open it in an image editor, etc., it's extremely convenient. I just upload and copy the URL's of the NwN screenies I want to take, unless I want to keep them for myself.

If you press Print Screen it'll save the screenshot as a TGA file in your Neverwinter Nights installation directory. Convert as desired with http://www.irfanview.net

Print-screen has not worked for my NWN in several months. I have to resort to the minimize+print screen+paste to paint method.

Try C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Neverwinter Nights\NWN\

You can most easily get there by typing %appdata% in you Windows Explorer location bar and hitting Enter (though it'll take you to Roaming instead of Local).

The reason being that you probably don't have write access to the installation directory.

Easiest method people, honestly, is to just hit Alt+Enter to go into windowed mode, and use Lightshot. It's extremely simple and efficient once you get it set up (which takes just 5 minutes, to install Lightshot and to enable windowed mode in NwN, both).

Do whichever you feel like, but I promise that once you get used to just using Lightshot, which you can also use outside of NwN because it's an awesome tool, you'll never want to go back. Converting files via an online converter... It just sounds eww.

I usually use MSI Afterburner for screenshots rather than Print Screen & then changing format. That way you can just choose it to take/save the screenshots in BMP, PNG or JPG and save to whatever folder you like, and quicker than having to paste each time or having to go in to Windowed mode so it doesn't turn out blank.

There is also this neat function where you can press alt+print screen and it only takes a screenshot of the window you're focused on. Combined with dropbox which can automatically upload screenshots, there isn't much of an issue. From there you can pop it into your Dropbox's public folder, and happy times.

I use windowed mode + Print screen. Ctrl+V into paint. Then i crop and adjust.

Window mode is about the best option most of us have for taking Screenshots.
