Okay Curious...what alignment would a Non greedy Pawn broker be considered as? LMAO I watch this show all the time and it pertains to my Char request for a new alignment but im starting to think i may have chosen wisely the first time. There their to make a profit, but I have seen them be honorable and when some one comes in asking for a little money and the value is way higher for the item they posse, there nice and will offer them a better deal even though they know they could get over them. My char is good in heart and nature and would do something like this. She is devote to Helm, but not a fanatic. Curious as to what you all thought on what alignment it would be. The server i played on for years Alignment didnt hold any sway. Pretty much black and white evil or good. So I have a had time figuring out alignments. lol

That type of character can be any alignment you want it to be. Role-play the alignment you chose for the character. There can be non-greedy evil, or selfish good. If you chose a certain alignment, then I suggest sticking with it, unless life altering changes were made.

I would echo that. Professions, especially mundane non-adventuring ones, very rarely necessitate a particular alignment.

Put it this way, what would be a good alignment for a plumber? Whatever alignment fits well for the character that happens to be a plumber. When you've figured out just who this character is that you want to play, you have your answer, regardless of how frugal or generous a pawnbroker he is.

Can be anything.

Even a schrewd trader who tries to squeeze the maximum out of customers can be of any good alignment. He could for one tithe to the orphanage or do something else what benefits the whole community with it (Perhaps because he was raised there himself) or somesuch.) Making coin isnt the only thing that influences alignment.

Take Scrooge in that X-mas movie when the three ghosts visit him. He initially isnt good aligned (He's likely neutral evil) as he is a miser and he squeezes out his employees for all he can and overworks them, massively abusing his power over them.
Scrooge at the end of the movie may well start to shift alignment as he vows to take better care of his employees and realises there is more to consider on the world them himself and his stash of coins.

Mario is probably neutral good while his brother Luigi is most likely boarding on a psychotic chaotic neutral.

As for a goodly pawnbroker, why not. There is plenty of examples of pawnbrokers who help out their customers by buying their crappy goods just to lend them some money until they can find work and afford to buy them back. A type of money lender to the poor. To not just give them handouts but to give them sense of dignity through the transaction of business instead.
