Dear DM team, and Amian community.

Please allow me to just gauge if this is a possible request and feel free to chip in your ideas.

I would like to request a shapechange skin for my druid Pantheros Sylvanight's, epic dragon shape.

Overall while a dragon is cool I feel it does not really represent Malar as much as other possible creatures might.

So before I go about posting the actual request, I have the following questions.

1) Is it even possible to request dragonshape to be reskinned into another creature?

2) Some ideas I have include;

- A giant worm.
- Nightmare Beast
- A giant Ooze
- Julajimus( Monster manual 2 page 133)
- Wear-Giant. (Lycantrophe afflicted giant)


Does the community have an ideas I could include for a large malarite monsterish creature?

3) If possible roughly how many dc's would it cost me?

In terms of the IC reasons on how this ability would be developed, I've got some ideas but I just want to test the waters as of this stage.

2) possible, bit on the fancy side but I only read about nightmare beasts in a darksun set, possible, No idea what that is, very very unlikely.
I assume you mean these forms as replacement dragonshapes. If you want to request any of those to play they all would be very hard.

3) 5 dc's to change a skin I am pretty sure.

I've been told in the past that if I were to request a skinchange for Dragonshape, it would only ever be able to be other dragons. If the DM stance on that changed, then that's awesome!

The alternative, if that hasn't changed, is to ask for a custom shape, where you would be able to sculpt the creature's stats to properly represent what you're aiming for.

They go for 5DCs too, I'm sure.

5 for a skin change, 20+ for a custom polymorph depending on what you go for with it.

Nightmare beast is an Athasian monster, specific to the Dark Sun setting. The MM is not a "usable by every setting" book, but one that draws a host of monsters from many sources. Having a PC run around run around as one would be very questionable unless they were a planar transplant from the Dark Sun setting perhaps.

It's possible to get it reskinned, yes. But it needs to fit in with the setting and be logical as to why it would still retain all the dragon bonuses/negatives over using another shape (if one was more fitting)
