I am working on a new character. I have been thinking of making a self-determined Champion of Waukeen who notarizes contracts, defends trade posts, guards caravans, preaches how trade brings prosperity, hunts bandits and pirates et cetera. The background I have been thinking of places her as a politically insignificant younger daughter of some major merchant family in Cordor or some other major trade city. Something like the granddaughter of the youngest brother of the current patrician/patriarch/head of family. Problem is, the last time I knew whats what in Cordor there was still a Duke around.

Who is the master of info for relevant cities nowadays? I'd like to talk with the expert DM to get the background right and so on. I'd be happy to take suggestions from anyone else as well.
