I have a small question!
I made a bard character and wanted them to be heavy support, meaning very little actual fighting and more roleplay and enchanting and heavy 'jobs' base things.
As such i saw those 'special feats' that are used for special things normally used for say special spells, auras, or whatever people feel like allowed by the server.
But i was wondering... can they be used to increase the skill(rank) in a job? I rather want my character to be less battle based and more roleplay, so i'd love it if possible..

As far as I remember it was mentioned several times that job points cannot be increased through any other means than leveling.

I believe Dead is correct. Whenever I've asked about the job system, the basic answer was that nobody currently on the dev team has any understanding of how to manipulate the job system codes and scripts and whatnot, since it is a gigantic tangly mess, and was designed by Disco who is presently inactive.

Buck up. There are some very support-bard-ish things in the works, though.

Doesn't have to be just a bard~, just a support anything, the only 'supports' i see are buff wizards and the mega tank aura masters known as knight commanders. I reaaally want a class build around saaay... crafting... or 'jobs' or even just non battle stuff without having to farm monsters 24/7

If you're a spellcaster, take Craft Wand and possibly Brew Potion, and grab a few of the more useful adventurer-supporting jobs. I think mythal tubes (Arcanist) are fairly popular, and herbalists can produce some handy stuff. Death Ward, Improved Invisibility and Haste wands are often in demand.
You could also request a custom Item Creator that spawns pre-determined items in your inventory. I am not sure if they can assign a cost to it and how they feel about balance, but theoretically you could produce unique consumable goods with it.

Take Alchemist or Inventor if you're looking to support. More than a few useful gadgets in both of those, as you can see.

Click on the Job System link on the left sidebar, then click Jobs. You can click each job, for a full description.

There's always the good-ol' "Find out IC" what certain things do. They've been around enough that you could probably find out information on what they all do. Then your character can IC'ly decide if that's the sort of thing he wants to learn how to make!
"Mythal Tubes let you store 50 of the same type of mythal, while decreasing the overall weight and space?! Sweet! I gotta learn how to make that!"

What's the point of being an inventor then if you are inventing the things that someone else invented, told you about it, and then you've decided to start inventing that same thing?

No one says you have to ask. Just start creating things. Half of the fun of those jobs is creating things for the hell of it and seeing what it does.

Mythal tubes aren't made by an inventor, so that is not where my brain was. xD
