I noticed something the other day and wondered if the rest of you are ever reminded of your character through other characters be it from film, series or books and the like?
It could range from a characteristic/quirk/trait to finding understanding of a character by watching/reading about another.
Here are my three instances:
To better understand Lonan Vil'aren's brawler mentality, the love of the fight, win or lose, watch Fight Club starring Brad Pitt and Edward Norton.

There are two films that remind me of Madrik. After watching the movie S.W.A.T. starring Collin Farrell, I noticed some uncanny quirks between the main character Jim Street and Madrik Street, other than the happy coincidental last name. If Madrik existed in modern reality, he'd be just like this. Both are soft spoken and pretty serious. This is a lot like how Mad was pre-Amia.

But to really understand Madrik's personality better, watch Gladiator starring Russell Crowe. I was amazed at the similarities I pointed out recalling this flick. So if you watch it again, you have a moving picture idea on who you're dealing with. Again, all purely coincidental, but here's a list:
-Both characters served in a military- The army Madrik was in uncanny to Roman style -Both characters held leadership positions -Both characters are soft-spoken unless they have something more crucial to say -Both characters are quite serious and focused -Both characters can be stubborn -Both characters were slaves -Both characters are concerned for the lives of their men and hold a natural confidence in their disposition with them -Both characters are defiant in the name of what is right -Both characters are likely to throw swords at nobles and "do not entertain" -Both characters contain disfigured tattoos on their biceps depicting their legion -Neither characters are cat fans -Both characters die young

I'm curious if anyone's noticed something similar, and if so, post it and we can keep an eye out of these character resemblances.
