Hello!

First of all, just wanted to say thank you to everyone for this great server that I've found.

Currently I am playing a level 8 cleric named "Tyrin Ceri" and have reall enjoyed the roleplay and fun on the server so far. It's been a warm welcome.

Previously, I played at MERP UK - Untold Tales of Tolkien II for about 100 years until it got shut down.

A bit of character help:

I am still about confused about the whole domain system and spell changes that have taken place. It wasn't until I took a look on the Amia Wiki that I fully understood the changes.

Would it be possible to request two changes to my character from mistakes I made?

(1) Change my voice set to that of Halastar

IC Reasoning: I use a failed-wizard-gone-priest-of-Mystra and love the "mad wizard" sound of Halaster's voice that fits my simpleton character's personality.

(2) Change my "Rune" domain to "Spell."

IC Reasoning: My cleric is dedicated to Mystra and I feel that the domains "Magic" and "Spell" properly depict his magic abilities. Plus, I took the "Rune" domain without fulling understanding what was out there and available (my mistake).

Considering the fact that you are a relatively new player with a new character, fulfilling both of these requests probabably isn't an issue. There are two ways you could go about it. One, if you are not heavily advanced in levels yet, you could simply create a new version of your character (make sure you don't use the same name) and then archive the old one, picking the Halaster voice and then doing your domains correctly.

Alternatively, if you are more advanced in level and do not want to do it that way, you can make the requests in our Requests forum, following the format spelled out there, and ask the DMs for some lenience.

Generally we don't advise making a habit of the first option I pointed out, but under the circumstances it could be forgivable, I think.

Most people do this by simply adding a space or a period onto either side of the name, so a completely new name isn't needed.
