Post subject:  My apologies...
It has been made known to me in a very nice and polite way, :) that some of my posts concerning my character have become annoying and are defeating the point of rp. This was not my intention and i apologise if that is what is happening. From now on... i shall make no further posts about my character's plot and intended course. I shall strive to keep such info between me and the dms and if i should start to slide back into that habit please feel free to yell at me. :) I am sorry i ruined your rp and it stops now. Good day to all. :)

Nobody ruins my RP but me. :lol:

But I will pat you on the back for your measured and calm response - so many people lose it or get grumpy when told 'you're kinda leaving spoilers about your intentions' or so forth.

Hey, I'm glad someone told you! I was content to just let you spill your beans all over the place!

Metagaming used to be a bigger problem on our server than it is now, but it still happens. Moreso, though, is that by advertising yourself so blatantly you put a lot of players into a difficult position. One of "unintentional metagaming". You see the PC with your forum name, you remember the forum posts, and then as a player you are put into a situation where you have to pretend not to know what you know. While many players are capable of doing so, it is far preferred to not have to force them to do so.

Some people have resolved that issue by still writing up all the IC stories they feel like writing, but then letting them sit for a few months, before posting them backdated. You're still getting all your exhibitionism in, but not spoiling any of your character's present plots.

I'm not capable myself of keeping my own plots quiet. So I sympathize! But Yoss's post should help understand where folks are comin' from.
