Hey there! I'm using the Chatlog Backup application from here viewtopic.php?f=20&t=55960&p=918607#p918607and it starts properly, creates the files with proper time and date stamples, BUT all the files are empty :/ Any ideas?

Did you miss a step? Logging first has to be enabled in your nwnplayer.ini file.

Installed it lately - and funny thing:
Some of the logs are normally saved and some of the files are empty... but it might be due to my game crashing every now and then.

NWNCX rotates logs, might have something to do with that?

Well I think the first thing to do is for you to go in-game, type something in the buffer, and check the log to see if something appears (you can access it while the game is running, but only in read-only mode, if I recall correct). That will indicate whether or not the logging part is actually working.
The log file is located in NWN\logs and is called nwclientLog1.txt

Ok, #1 give this a try: Quote: [Game Options] ... ClientChatLogging=1 ClientEntireChatWindowLogging=0 The first line is a manual entry and is most likely not already in your INI. It doesn't log the combat window only the chat. My idea here is to see if either one of them work; then try the other. If the log is still empty try running NWN in administrator mode? Maybe it is indeed some sort of write restriction. Otherwise I have no idea. I've not ever had an issue... What OS are you running? Though on the topic if anyone knows, at one time, /somehow/ my log had timestamps, and only logged the chat window, now it does not. Any idea how to get that back?

My issue is a bit different - I have logs in the nwclientLog1.txt, but then the backups are blank Now I'm just making a copy of the files myself, so it's not that bad.
